Seemed the staff moved on a month ago. Either got a good feeling from Mertz or saw something they didn’t like in Gunnell. Hope the former. For all we know the laid back atmosphere mentioned above might have been it. Best of luck to grant.

Coach Meyer's track record of recruiting speaks for itself. The true difficulty lies in the fact the '19 QB class is by all accounts lacking quality and depth. We shall see how the next few weeks of the camp circuit sort itself out before the next Dead Period in a few weeks.

Wow, didn't see that coming, even if it wasn't a verbal to OSU...Arizona? Not thrilled to miss out on this one, was wondering if something was happening with the staff going so hard after Mertz. Personally, I think the staff saw the writing on the wall for Gunnell staying out west, at one point we were pushing hard here. Oh well, on to the next one.
