Ty Isaac (official thread)

Not sure why he'd want anything to do with Michigan, considering how terrible their offensive line has been. Averaging 1 or 2 yards per carry doesn't exactly drive up your stock if you want to play in the NFL someday.
Transferring after one year because you're fourth on the depth chart doesn't exactly drive up your stock, either.

Evidently, he's applying for a hardship waiver to get past the rule that he has to sit out a year. According to mgoblog, he's doing so on the grounds that "his mom can no longer fly because of an ear issue and he'd like to be closer to home." Does the NCAA seriously grant hardship waivers on grounds like that?

Jacobs has already proven himself on the field, though. He was stuck behind two future first round picks in Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams.

The point was, that Joe Flacco was also a player who made it to e NFL after transferring from his first university because he was getting little PT as a backup(under Tyler Palko). I then Brought up Jacobs to backup that point. But there are few guys that transfer from their first university and still make it to the NFL.

Hope the hardship waiver is granted.
If it is, it shouldn't involve Michigan as a destination given the distance from home. Then again we saw Devin get a "Tate's out of the doghouse" medical redshirt, so pretending the NCAA is logical here or elsewhere is a bit foolish on my part.

I swear to god we're gonna see some mook try to transfer back home because his mom is going through menopause or something.

The whole notion the Miz Isaac's aversion to flying/hearing problem has anything to do with a waiver is foolish in the first place. Will she be healed by Ty playing in 2014 instead of 2015? The NCAA should scoff at this logical fallacy but they'll pass it like they did with #98. The real blame should lie with Justin Davis, who is a [very good running back] at USC and a future first rounder. We didn't hear of any of the ear problems when Isaac committed.

Edit: sorry for the cussing and the fam deserves to have their name spelled correctly at least.
