Ty Isaac (official thread)

Green is very good, however I think Issac is one of the best prospects in the nation next year. He is sick.

Not trying to deebo Isaacs thread, but green is every bit as elite. I think whoever commits first is all we need at rb for 2013, regardless if its isaac or green. Can't go wrong with either.

I don't necessarily see Ty as a pure RB. I see him as a Ted Ginn/Percy Harvin type of playmaker that Urban craves for this offense. It wouldn't surprise me if we take him as a playmaker/athlete and not as a RB, allowing Derrick to be our RB in this class.

Agreed. He looks like a natural pass-catcher and very shifty.

Agreed. I think Isaac is a top 10 overall type talent. He is just elite. I'm all for using him in the Saine role/Harvin role (he is a natural pass catcher), with more emphasis on running the ball. I think we could sell him on that role and still get Green in this class. Can you imagine Foster outside with Isaac in the slot, with Green in the backfield? Deadly.

This kid has great athleticism and runs very well for his size. I think it's difficult to see where this kid projects for the future but I see an OLB over RB in the future. On some plays I see a RB that catches well out of the backfield and other plays it looks like he's a bigger athlete that's just faster and more agile than the competition. Honestly the competition he plays against doesn't look very good in my opinion. Alot of his runs are off tackle or he makes one cut and isn't even touched. The holes he runs through are pretty big and none of his runs really show a lot of contact or power. Great versatile athlete regardless of position but just looks like he'll grow into a LB, IMO.

Scout (Free) - Midwest Recruiting Notebook

1/21; By Trieu....

According to his family, Joliet Catholic Academy (Ill.) running back Ty Isaac had Buckeye head coach Urban Meyer in his school this week. Isaac has a Buckeye offer and they are battling Michigan, Notre Dame and others for possibly the top junior in the Midwest. Isaac has both Buckeye and Wolverine fans in his family, so this could turn out to be a classic Big Ten battle.

Agreed. Issac is sick. Freakish is the word that comes to mind.

Issac is easily one of the top 5 JR's in the midwest for 2013.

Him, Shane Morris, Jalin Marshall, Cam Burrows, and Steve Elmer are the early top 5 in the midwest IMHO.
