I'm wearing Gold Pants
I had a meeting with a tax attorney yesterday in Cleveland.

The purpose of the meeting was to be introduced to a new employee benefits attorney he hired from scUM law school and get acquainted since our firm's work together so much.

He was really pumped about bringing her on board, talked up her credentials to me...graduated near the top of her class, background in employee benefits, blah blah blah.

So we arrive at the meeting, greet the senior partner, make our way to conference room, and engage in idle chit-chat.

I notice a curious thing...it's just 3 of us, the senior partner, me, and the actuary from my firm.

Finally, I pipe up - "So where's the Michigan grad?"

Attorney smirks, lowers his head, and says, "You're not gonna believe this...do you know how long she lasted here?...3 days!"

Apparently this can't miss scUM grad came into a high octance law firm for 3 days, couldn't hack it, and just up an quit.

Oh yeah...her starting salary $100k.

Now I know that sometimes your just not a good fit somewhere, but man for a $100k I think I would stick it out for a week or two.
