Hard to determine the significance of Gutz's transfer from UM. I will say this. For the first time, in a long time, I feel way more secure about our QB situation than their's. Huge drop from Henne to Forcier. I would not be surprised to see them try to grab another QB in this recruiting class. Supposedly, they are hot on another QB for 2007, but this transfer might force their hand a little.

I seem to recall him as the QB put in to replace Navaro (?) and had the ball go over his head and into the endzone for a Buckeye TD in Tressel's first year...

After finishing his career at Idaho State, Gutierrez went undrafted this weekend...

After starting his career at Michigan, he left after it became obvious that Chad Henne was the man. He's big (6-4 and 245 pounds) with a tremendous arm and is a rah-rah type that isn't Joey Harrington phony. Not mobile and not durable, if he's not a consistent passer, he won't make the roster.
