I wouldn't make this post but a moderator is constantly threatening me.

We all know the fiasco about making two threads for the terrorism incident. We agreed one was for news and one was for political discussion.

However, now a moderator is not posting "news" in the news thread and discussing random bullcrap (the reason we separated the threads). I called him on it and now he is threatening me. He told me to make a post about it here.

I think you are misunderstanding everything. They moved the threads because they wanted news only in the open discussion thread. I understand that. Currently there is a moderator discussing non-news things in the open discussion thread. I called him on it, he deleted my post and then threatened me in a PM. It seems there are some mods acting as czars

I'm still waiting for his proof of people calling him Islamophobic for telling him to post his political thoughts in the poli forum.

Then again, self-appointed message board martyrdom has always been funny to me, so hopefully this lasts for a while.

I cannot fathom for the life of me why you have such a problem with there having been two threads. I didn't understand it that night, and I sure as hell don't understand why you're going back to that particular well today. I truly want you to answer. What difference does it make to you?

Back in the earlier days of this site, it was very often noted that those who are moderating are doing so on there own time and without any pay and the like. This noting very often lead to the "if you don't like the way the site is moderated, go somewhere else"

So.....

Here we are... if this is SUCH a problem for you, dude, then hit the door and don't look back.

The difference it makes is that some people are being treated unfairly by the moderators, I already said I don't care that the threads were separated but now we have a continuation of certain posters being handled differently. I would hate to speculate that it's because of the moderators political stances.

I think you are misunderstanding something. The move wasn't because they only wanted news in the OD thread. It was because they DIDN'T want political bullshit in the OD thread.

As for moderators political stances, let's also be clear that the mod who is "threatening" you isn't me, and he or she (who can out him or herself if he or she wishes) is also not a liberal.

No, you've done that consistently. And consistently, you're wrong. I hate to break this to you, but, deep down inside I make you look like Bernie Sanders.

What's consistent is WHERE we want that kind of speech.

And if you're being treated unfairly... (and it really doesn't matter, the moderators are the moderators, you're not, bummer, we are the arbiters of "fair") its because you can't, or refuse to understand this. You're being treated differently now for sure, but, its because you can't follow the simplest of direction, respect the board policies about political speech and most annoyingly can't shut the fuck up about it.
