Uniforms (Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, etc....)

Once Joe Pa leaves there uni's will change. Nike has been after them to update the jerseys and joe pa is the only reason why it hasnt happened. You can say what you want of tradition, but after Joe Pa is gone so are the jersey's within 3 years of him leaving

I doubt penn st would go through a major uni change. The most I would see them doing is adding some piping, but nothing drastic.

These would look stupid with normal looking numbers, but with those 'super cool modern' numbers, they're by far the ugliest thing I've seen today.
Those 'edgy' number cut-outs look like the crap the Arena League teams do, and that the XFL teams tried.

The only thing that jersey is missing is a 'He Hate Me' boiler plate.

Nike does a lot of good for sports as far as equipment goes, but they make some of the ugliest uni's I've ever seen. How do people at those schools say, "Let's go with that design?" God forbid OSU ever lets Nike change their uni's.

doubt it, but we will see. let me rephrase then, imagine nike decides they want diamond plating on a buckeye jersey. imagine any drastic change to the osu jersey. even if tressel o.k.'d it, i think the fan base would have something to say.
I don't think (or hope) that the university would do that. Besides, Ohio State fans are so dedicated and anal about the colors and sanctity of tradition that most of us would run out and sink 150 bones on a new jersey if they changed the width of the stripes on the sleeves by 1/8".

Agreed that subtle changes will continue...

But this thread is taking us in a direction where someone might actually suggest a radical change. Please don't.

For four years, going all the way back to BustNuts days, I have seen MililaniBuckeye tear new orifices on chumps that propose radically different uniforms. Let me say it before he has to: Ohio State's uniforms are the best in college football and do not need to change.

i agree. i believe most storied programs core fans are the same way. thats why nike has been the sponsor of osu, psu, scUM, bama?, fla, for years, and yet, no drastic changes. hell, oregons uni's change so much, they have about seven different shades of green.
