The O is supposed to be the shape of a track because Eugene is known as "Track Town USA". The green helmet is perfect and the white one isn't bad either.

There are two shapes (inside and outside) to the 'O' on the Duck hemlets. I believe the outside of the 'O' is the shape of Autzen Stadiom, and the inside of the 'O' is the outline of the old Hayward Field track.

I had a teacher in HS (John Zishka) who ran for Oregon, I have no idea what event, some sort of distance running though...that's basically all I know about track in oregon though

One name put Oregon track on the map: Steve Prefontaine. They've embraced themselves as the center of track ever since (even though many other programs are consistently better than them).

Those uniforms would look better if they were actually hit with diamond plate instead of having that design on them...

I was referring to the number zero on the jersey. Either a bad angle or a terrible font for the numerals.

ScarletandGrey would probably know better than I do but for one, Oregon has the best long distance runner of all-time in Steve Prefontaine. Oregon has a long tradition in track.



Edit- For those who didn't know, Oregon, especially Eugene, is known to be a liberal/hippy area with a lot of drugs. Maybe they were smoking something.
