Univ. of Massachusetts-Lowell @ No. 20 Ohio State Buckeyes, Fri 11/14, 7:05p ET, BTNPlus

Went to the game. We have some shooters with D'Angelo and Kam. Sam also has worked on his shot and looks good. Loving seems to drift on his shots from what I've seen, but still put up some points. Amir seemed to have better hands, but then seemed to get complacent the 2nd half when he wasn't playing much. Trey still can't hit a FT. Lee is active but same as the other bigs when it comes to bringing in the ball. Shannon did have a few good drives. Defense was all zone and could be a problem with active 3-pt shooters. Tate and Bates-Diop both seemed to press the issue when they were on the court. But solid potential.

This team is split between experience and freshmen. At one point, there was a team of first year starters on the floor. Could be exciting if they gel and play as a team. My prediction is a team that finishes 2nd in B1G and bows out in the sweet 16 of NCAA tourney. Could be better but could be way worse with the pieces we lost. Matta is so underrated and under-appreciated I wouldn't bet against him or this team.
