Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

I like him to win in Jacksonville or the NFL in general, but, hearing way too much that the owner in Jacksonville is getting a Jerry Jones attitude where he wants to make all final decisions about roster and personnel. That kind of meddling could be the death of Urban. Hoping the leakage of that salary demand reaches Fox studios and they make a move to keep him.

What are the odds that Texas and Jacksonville stories are intended to nudge Fox?

I don't think he was offered 12M. I think he said that's his asking price.

Looks like it's maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. Or maybe no one really knows what's going on (that's my vote). Jbook is probably the only one that really knows.

Rumors that former University of Florida and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is asking for $12 million per year to coach the Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly false.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, while Meyer will be "well compensated" if he takes the job in Jacksonville, there is no accuracy to the $12 million figure.

Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reported Monday that Meyer is the Jaguars' first choice to replace the fired Doug Marrone and is seeking $12 million annually.

Despite Rapoport's tweet, Florio stood by his report Tuesday

I'll do it for $1 mill. Spend that $11 mill on my coordinators Brent Venables and an OC to be named later once I figure out the best way to help Ohio State/fuck over someone I don't like.

I'd say Sarkisian, but for that kind of scratch, you can just pay some cowboy hat weirdo and a country music singer 80 grand to deliver a truck load of coors to Austin in 28 hours.
