The problem I see is not that the game is put on Barrett's back by the coaches, it's that his inability to hit passes puts it there. If he could hit three or four big passes a game, teams would have to respect that. He can't hit anything past twenty yards. That is my point. There is no credible threat and you can sell out to stop the run.

There will be some tough questions in coaches meetings this week. Something has to change or this season could go south quickly and the mystique of Meyer will start to wear off. Not sure how a walking tank that is Tim Tebow could look like Steve Young and Barrett looks like a backup from Idaho Vandals

If he isn't hitting them then we need to adjust for that possibility. It's coaches fault for allowing JT to have too much on his plate.

We have 2 good backs so use them... if we can't throw the ball then just don't do it

Don't look now, but we're already hovering around the Georgia/Carolina border.

The question is, does Urban have the nads to do what needs to be done at the QB position? What is he going to do when Haskins or Burrow gets PT vs Army and UNLV and lights it up like 4th of July and connects on a couple big passes that we haven't seen completed forever and a day?

He will talk about how great they played but that Jt is his man since he went 17 of 31 for 210 yards with 2 scores. Which is somehow better then 5 of 6 for 120 and a score

I hate it for JT but here's what will happen before we see a change... against PSU we are going to struggle bad and JT is going to get booed heavily. The crowd is going to turn on the young man and it won't be his fault it will be UFMs for not pulling him now to save him this eventual fate

    Jake Run the damn ball!

Last year it was Tim Beck this, Time Beck that...this year it's JT this, JT that...who is in charge of this operation? Ultimately, it's on the head coach.

    Something is broken. Fix it.

God Beanie just nailed it on the radio.. He said "I get why he's arrogant because he's been successful in the past, but why are you so arrogant that you refuse to adjust and just think we can do what we always do"...

No place for arrogance in coaching.

Cardale Jones lit Urban up on Twitter Saturday night. First, he @CoachTomHerman requesting magic fairy dust for the offense. Then when someone replied saying that we want him back, he replied, "no way he's gonna run me to death."

And that pretty much sums up JT. Urban has run him to death. Having your QB take 20 hits per game is insane.

Burn that stupid playbook. Let Wilson run Wilson's offense.

To me when you have had your ass handed to you twice in three games by other top powers in the game, then you have to realize something needs to change.

The shine hasn't come off yet, but there is some definite haze forming....

Yep. Based on posters here that are in-the-know, Urban needs an offensive intervention. Right now this team has an award winning offensive genius at OC and it's no different than the last 2 years.

It's a major concern that has cost this program the last 2 years and will cost it more and more in the future if Meyer doesn't swallow his pride and move into the present with a newer offense.

It's come off for me. It's been 28 games now of the same [Mark May] that doesn't work. It cost us at least one national championship. Fix it, or kick rocks. I don't care who you are, or what you've done in the past. If you can't do your job properly, then we will find someone who can.

Going back to the first Big Ten Championship game, when everyone was asking why Hyde wasn't given more opportunity, we always seem to be left wondering about inexplicable management decisions.

Of course, coaches don't have magic hats that they can pull a perfectly-formed QB out of--you can only play what you have. Thing is, for years now, doesn't seem like anyone has been looking for an alternative, even when what they have is less than ideal. It's definitely frustrating when, year after year, the actuality doesn't match the hype.

Oh dear Lord. I just was watching the press conference. He said that they mostly practice against man to man coverage, and IU and Oklahoma both ran zone coverage, so they need to work on that.

    I can't even...

I am a 63 year old Animal Science Grad who coached pee wee football for two years in the 70's and I am criticizing and advising UFM. I might have lost perspective due to the Company I keep(Buckeye Planet). Sorry Coach Meyer I apologize.
