Well, I certainly won't claim to know more about football than UFM but I've been in management for a long time. When something isn't working, you look at why it's not working and what you can do differently. Stubbornly sticking to "what you do" and expecting different results is bad management. So is blind loyalty to an individual for reasons unrelated to job performance, by the way.

Haskins can't run the O, even calling the play in the huddle in a real game is what the diplomat UFM was covering up. He is just not ready..I wish he was.

You're made of sterner stuff than me, as I haven't looked at anything (aside from BP) football-related since Saturday.

So, you're saying coach was surprised by what they encountered in both games??

Um, that's a pretty expensive facility they built for the team over there on campus. Didn't it include a film room?

That's what they said about Cardale. He looked more polished immediately than Braxton did after a full season under his belt. And way ahead of JTB vs VaTech

No Herman now. Day is from the NFL not the spread.

UFM is not giving up on his creation ..the spread...so Haskins must adapt..and Meyer inferred he is not there yet.

Urban Meyer is a GREAT coach.....lets not get stupid here.

If he has one fault, it was trying to develop JT into more than he's capable of. JT has the brain for this [Mark May], he just lacks the arm talent......

It's like the reverse problem we had against Va Tech when Meyer and Herman were in love with the vertical routes. They wanted to stretch defenses but our QB play and receivers just couldn't execute.

They reversed course and became a quick read, dink and dunk offense, built around power run.

Let Urban do his thing........we are still lucky AF to have this guy. Maybe it's me, but I've seen some over the ledge type [Mark May] that needs to be nipped in the bud immediately. Is Urban stubborn? Yeah, he is. How many National titles do all current active coaches have compared to Meyer alone? Guy has 3 National titles and has shown huge offensive adjustments in all 3 seasons he won a championship.

He's never gone undefeated in a single
Championship season. Lets see how we adjust and progress. I would bet my life that we see a simplified offense against Army, where the ball is gone immediately from Barrett's hand in an effort to make him a distributor rather than the focal point. It will be similar to the (11) deep shots to Corey Smith against Va Tech that failed, and then the next week against Kent State and our first pass was a RB swing pass for 7 yards that was open all night against Va Tech if they just looked for it.

We are lucky. We have a great team. We will get better. The coaches will make adjustments. Enjoy the ride.

Give me a break. There are only about eight different running plays and fifteen different passing route trees in all of football, from high school to the pros. If Haskins can't run our base offense, then he's either a colossal bust, or the coaches are failing miserably.

I think it's neither. Coach is just too loyal to JT and too stubborn in thinking that his offense still works to make the change.

Edit: besides, I can think of another RS Frosh QB that "wasn't ready" a few years ago, and he turned out okay.

I can as well. Was it just that he was allowed to play as a dual threat QB back then?
