And then there's the thing about Courtney using multiple (burner?) phones to contact Brett. Why, if you're going public? That also sticks out to me.

Yup. The other wife chain I could buy.
He made it pretty clear he wasn't interested or required to do so, because others would. Except the opposite happened, and EVERYONE ran with his story that he recalled the very same day (without any retraction).

And I quote again- in his interview with Deadspin-

No one else reputable, with an editor has verified a thing.

Other people have jobs, standards and the threat of being fired. They aren't trying to ride this wave back to employment.

And the fact that so many ‘journalists’ (term used loosely) have either ignored or circled wagons around him (e.g. ‘tribalism’).

Kudos to those who have maintained fair and honest practices. Still got nothing for politicians, they can all DIAF.

In the end, I’m going to go bathe myself in nitric acid because it’s all dumb and I feel awful on every side.

I think we can depend on Bert to have asked them already, but he does not seem to be admitting it.

Wikipedia calls it "editorial oversight" and Wikipedia depends on it a lot.

My level of embarrassment after reading that entire Snook post is almost that of a being a TSUN fan. Almost.

    Fuck Michigan.

Yep messy divorce which both sides seem to have some level of fault. No idea what part of what anyone says is truthful other then they both were toxic. Besides that? Everything I read says stay the fuck away from this mess and let the courts handle it.

I couldn’t help thinking last night that this is some sort of soap opera or reality tv show that has been playing out in front of us. I hate having been sucked into it.....

Well...not only that, by Urban Meyer's longtime admin assistant was supposed to be a 3-way piece in 2009, and was a witness to the alleged abuse in 2009. She was interviewed about the incident in 2009 as a witness, and likely had conflicting information from the original report....which Meyer addressed at his Big 10 media day...."the information I received was different than what was in the police report and the charges were dropped".

Zurp I have misplaced my pants.

How great would it be if someone followed the bread crumbs of this whole thing back to Jim Harbaugh? It'd be great to see evidence that he's paid McMurphy off, or something.
Of course, with his 83 IQ, I doubt it could have gotten this far without someone uncovering the connection by now.

Well it there is a lot of unsubstantiated internet chatter that a Michigan assistant coach was responsible for the initial leak to the media
