Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

Time for the alumni board. I think it’s best that he’s separated from the Ohio State sports programs so Ryan Day doesn’t have him looming over his shoulder. Time for a new era.
As long as he's employed at Ohio State in a capacity related to the football program--which he is as the Assistance AD--his thread stays right here.

Notice that it's Fox and not the mouse. I'm really happy that he is staying within the B1G family by going with Fox. And screw the mouse.

Also note it's a job as FOX TV analyst, not color commentator.

Translation: Looks like a studio job either on the flagship or FS1/BTN, not a booth job on game day like he did before on ESPN.

I was going to post this in the Justin Fields thread but I did not want to derail the Urban bashing so I thought I would post here.

I used to be worried about Urban coaching at another school, but now that I realize how flawed and inept he was, under-achieving and such, I am not so worried now if he went to USC or ND.
If he were like Harbaugh and DEMANDED to control the offense, I could legitimately see the logic of preferring Day over Meyer due to the offensive game going towards Day's style vs Urban's. But given the evidence of Urban entrusting the offense with Day, that isn't the case. So until proven incorrect, I'd rather have Urban as CEO than Day. I'm hoping to be proven wrong.

This is with the caveat that Urban would have had to nut up and fire his guys in Schiano and Davis.

Earle Bruce and Woody remained around the program..Urban is an asset to Day not a detriment. Now if An established successful coach came in that would be different. Day doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.
