That said, I think Meyers personality is too big for Jerrah. Jerrah doesn’t want an alpha as HC IMO.

Re: Meyer's recruiting reshaped Ohio State in a completely different way, however. His seven classes ranked No. 5, No. 2, No. 3, No. 7, No. 4, No. 2 and No. 2 nationally, all of which were the highest rated classes in the Big Ten.

Urban wasn't called "The Closer" for nothing.

Jim Tressel, Urban Meyer and Ryan Day are all top notch recruiters. Too bad I couldn't include Luke Fickell, who didn't much of a chance.
He was only there for a year, and was left by Gene Smith holding the bag. He's turned into a great head coach, though.

Damn. And you wonder why Urban just dominated the recruiting scene. Ryan Day deserves all the credit in the world for the job he has done on the field and recruiting, but he got quite the hand-off from UFM. The continuity of coaches we have had here is nothing short of remarkable.

PS - Urban said #2 was distinguishing pain from injury. He recruited JK Dobbins here and that was all I could think of with that quote. I think 99% of players would have sat out in the Clemson game, particularly after he re-injured himself. Then not only does he he come back in, but he goes freak mode on everyone. Probably for the JK Dobbins' thread, but that quote just instantly made me think of him.
