Meyer's deal with Florida supposed to be 7 years, $14 million, plus the buyout.

Pat Forde (ESPN.com) speculated that Meyer wanted 6 exceptions to ND's academic standards for each recruiting class, and ND not wanting to do that may have been part of why Urban chose the Gators.

Maybe Meyer knew what was ahead at N.D.

He coached there when the Shit was hitting the fan (tongue in cheek)
So to say.....

But he must have thought to himself Why Fight a Losing Battle.....

#1 No Conf. Affiliate....Nobody watches N.D. On NBC

#2 Nobody cares about N.D. anymore

#3 Just NO talent there..... (Cupboard bare talent wise...)

#4 Why end up like OLE Ty...

I'm sure he was headed to Florida all along, but played up the ND deal to earn himself more in Florida. He knew they'd be happy to pay more, so he gladly played them and then accepted their high bid. :)
