Larry Brown benefitted from the most biased referreeing in any sport ever (outside of Roy Jones in the Olympics) in the most recent NBA finals, so now he knows how it feels.

Hey Brown, quit blaming everyone else, don't listen to all the people who say you're the best, and fucking bench Marbury--let Lebron run the point. Marbury is a scoring PG (who is having trouble scoring), and Team USA needs a PG who makes his teammates better. What are you doing? There is no such thing as loyalty to seniority in the Olympics, so put the best team on the court. This is embarassing.

Lebron must have done something wrong unrelated to basketball. There's absolutely no reason he shouldn't have been in there the second half basketball-wise. He's been playing superb defense, and he is Mr. Fast Break. I'd like to see a fastbreak comparison between this game and the Australia game. I bet there'd be an interesting difference.

This team has been struggling to shoot (outside of Jefferson's mini-outburst late in the game), so why not try and win with the fast break? I hope Larry Brown has a good reason, because Lebron should have been in there. Not only did he earn it, but the team needed him.

i swear to god my old ass could beat jefferson off the dribble....that guy has capone feet on defense.....

the only reason i watch the games is because lebron and wade are great......not playing lebron is a disgrace....the guy is a matchup nightmare

If you want to blame any refs for the fouls, blame the NBA refs, who don't call them on the "star" players in the league. Is it any wonder we get beat when refs actually enforce the rules? That said, it's also not hard to believe that international refs don't look favorably on us either...everyone wants the USA to lose so they can say that "the rest of the world has caught up".

All that said, we need to lay a Barkley-like pounding on Angola tomorrow to build some momentum for the quarters, where we'll probably have to play Argentina first. If we can wipe them out and build some confidence, we could still be OK if Brown actually plays the guys who are putting the ball in the hoop. We can still take this, but we need to get Uncle Mo on our side in a hurry...

youre kidding right? you know that brown coached the pistons.....not the lakers, right?

unless you are referring to the way the refs made the lakers play like shit. in that case i agree with you :roll2:

Well, we gave Angola the forearm shiver I was looking for, but our reward for that was finishing fourth and playing the unbeaten (5-0) winner of group A, Spain. We need to have some serious shit together for that one, or we'll be sent packing with a final record of 3-3.
