I'm not saying your friend is lying, but I find that type of blatant debauchery hard to believe. A staff would be beyond insane to try something like that...especially with a recruit.

I would say Oklahoma.osugrad21 said:Besides USC and scUM, what other traditional power actually rivals our consistency in recruiting year in and year out?
Miami? Believe it or not, football was played before 1983.
FSU? Bowden is slipping without his arsenal of bright young coaches.
Bama? Still staggering from violations but slowly regaining form.
PSU? Best class in a few years, but not good enough to return to prominence.
Nebraska? 5-6 this year with a few more years to get the personnel needed for Callahan's scheme.
Florida is a real possibility to become a power, but Urban has to prove he can survive the toughest conference in CFB.
I'll take our consistency every year over some flash in the pan roller coaster ride of a program.
Just my opinion though.
Agreed. Its not about believing you, its about believing your friend...which I don't choose to doBuckeyeLuvChild said:osugrad21- Meh. I found and find it difficult to believe myself, thus the word allegedly. Just floating out what I've heard from a Tenn student on a track scholarship. Like it or gravy lump it, doesn't effect me in any way. :)
Texas has had consistency for several years now including the Machovic years when Priest Holmes and Ricky Williams were in the same backfield. Consider the fact that they have had a 1000-yard rusher every year for the last 7 years with Williams and Benson. Like him or hate him, Mack Brown does a great job getting almost everyone he wants. The recruiting pressure in this state is at least equal to Ohio and Florida.osugrad21 said:For the past few years, USC has been amazing in recruiting...obviously. Schools like Tennessee, Texas, Iowa, etc will find an amazing class every few years or for a period of a few years. However, there is something to be said for consistency.
Very true...but then again, would they be considered a perennial power? Opinions would vary there...PlanoBuckeye said:Texas has had consistency for several years including the Machovic years when Priest Holmes and Ricky Williams were in the same backfield. I look at it this way, which is probably the least fair towards UT...how many Big 12 titles has Mack Brown won?Wingate1217 said:I would come down as them being an annual power as they I believe won about 90 games this last decade for over a 70% win rate. They have at least two NC that I can remember and a couple of Heismans. I don't know were they rank in total victories or % but I got to believe they are in the top ten.
I would agree compared to tOSU they do not have a leg to stand on.
I'd never accuse you of thatPlanoBuckeye said:I am not a Texas fan; I am only answering your question.
First and foremost, Mr Than Thou, I left BNuts before all that shit w/ you and everyone else happened, I saw the signs. I couldn't read a post without wondering if Buck nation had lost their collective heads. Wouldn't have found this site if I didn't do some random searching one day. I'd rather have a UM helmet tattooed on my dick than go back there.MililaniBuckeye said:Don't be an idiot. If you think that Tressel is 1/100th as bad as fatass Fulmer, then slither your ass back to Bucknuts. Ya feel me, slick?
