Vegas! (but sort of family friendly) Suggestions?

So my dad and I are going to Vegas from April 18-21. We are mostly going to be golfing while there but there will definitely be some down time to do stuff. Both times I have been there, I have done things that I know my dad will not likely enjoy (clubs, casinos, etc.). He does not mind to have a drink or two and a PG-13 type atmosphere, but nothing insane.

I am really looking forward to it but I wanted to see if anyone here had suggestions on something for him and I to do? I was thinking maybe a good show at night and a cool craft brewery during the day, but I haven't been there enough to know of fun things we could do in that category. Would really appreciate some suggestions, thanks!

There is a craft brewery downtown on Fremont Street. At least there was in February when we were out there. Pretty decent..... I can't remember the name of the place right now.

There's also a place in the Monte Carlo that has like 100 beers on tap and 300 more in bottle. If you're into obscure stuff, check that place out.

Twin Peaks (in Planet Hollywood, I think) is a decent Hooters-type place to get a beer.

Other than that, I would highly recommend the Hash House at the Quad (formerly O'shea's I believe). Eat breakfast there and you won't need a lunch.

As Grad said, Cirque shoes are really good.

Where are you staying?

I live here, and I LOVE the Boulder City brewery. Food is awesome, and the beer is really good. I personally stay away from the Strip, as prices for EVERYTHING are so incredibly high. There are plenty of drink spots and restaurants right off the Strip that are more price friendly. I'd check out Bachi Burger, it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

I recommend watching the show Rock of Ages, it was funny as hell and love the oldies rock music.

On the Strip, I'd say check out Hofbrauhaus, it's a German style restaurant/pub. I am an avid golfer as well, play every weekend. Which courses do you plan on playing?

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming.

That was my other inquiry...we want to play a couple rounds but I have not looked into courses nearby yet. We aren't going to be able to pay a fortune but what are the best ones reasonably priced?

We're staying at Harrahs. I went to the Twin Peaks there (we rode in on rascal scooters like true bosses) and loved it, we have one here in Boise now. But yeah, I think our purchasing will be geared towards Fremont street to keep costs low.

Hofbrauhaus

There used to be one of these in Hilton Head (closed about 12 years ago) and it was great food, beer, and gorgeous big breasted German women in lederhosen serving you.

I liked going there when it was open.

Wow, I can't believe I missed that all the times I went to HH. Where was it on the island? We just got a Twin Peaks in Indy that I need to check out.

Eh, Twin Peaks and Tilted Kilt are all Hooters replacements IMO. Little overrated.

Their chicken and shrimp basket is legit though!

The Hofbrauhaus is awesome, live band playing German style music, and if you buy someone a shot, they get paddled...like seriously...and violently!
