Vince Young (unemployed)

Now unemployed and bankrupt!!!

Vince Young files for bankruptcy

Former NFL and University of Texas quarterback Vince Young has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The petition was filed last week in a Houston federal bankruptcy court, listing Young with estimated assets between $500,001 and $1 million and liabilities between $1,001,000 and $10 million. The Houston Chronicle reports no specific details on Young's assets and liabilities were immediately available.

The 30-year-old Young is fighting two lawsuits stemming from a $1.8 million loan obtained in his name during the 2011 NFL lockout.

Vince Young has a job waiting for him at Texas

According to the Houston Chronicle, the ex-Longhorns quarterback has a job waiting for him at Texas once he officially ends his playing career — which could be soon, given the former No. 3 overall pick remains a free agent. Young told the Chronicle his role would be an an ambassador for the Texas, but it certainly couldn’t hurt Charlie Strong’s program to have the Longhorns’ last championship-winning quarterback hanging around Austin.

Probably goes without saying: Vince Young's deal with #Browns is a minimum salary benefit contract. No bonus, no guarantee, injury split.

Other than a training camp per diem, I think he has to make the team (i.e. survive the final cut) before he'll get his first actual paycheck.

Well, you can change the subject; he is now employed:

University of Texas hires Vince Young

Vince Young has been hired by the University of Texas to work for its Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.
Young, who retired from the NFL in June after six seasons, will serve as a development officer for program alumni relations, raising money for programs that help first-generation and low-income college students.

"The position with DDCE is a great way to stay connected to the university and help make a difference in the lives of underserved kids across the state," Young said in a statement.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Young's position will pay him at least $100,000 a year. He begins work on Sept. 1.

WOW more than $100K a year, not bad for a guy that probably couldn't even hold a job a McDonalds.
