Was having a bad day...

Yeah, my kids are literally around the world and it was just great to hear from them yesterday for my birthday.

My oldest son arranged for a band to play a humorous song he wrote about Ohio State football when we returned from living in North Carolina last year. They did a different song for my wife and youngest daughter. The songs were terrible but I don't think we laughed so hard in a long time.

It was kind of a bad day and then my five year old daughter gave me a Valentine that said (in her writing) "Be my daddy forever".

Five year olds shouldn't have that much power. Happy V-Day, BP kids and parents.

that is great. my two year old was following me around last night asking to be picked up, when i did she gave me a kiss on the cheek and said "loves u daddy", then wanted back down to play - it was great

I just picked up my first born for a hug... and after you pick up 6'1 and 225 lbs who can squeeze me until I can't breathe with biceps bigger than I ever dreamed of... it was just so cuddly...

maybe I'll be able to move by Thursday

What cute stories.

I picked up my kids today to take them to school and while at the babysitter's, my oldest, in her most loving and gentle voice said "Dad, if you can't get Emily to leave me alone, I'm going to knock her teeth out."

Daughters.... Gotta love them.

My 4 year old made my day a couple weeks ago while in the car with the family. My wife made some comment about how some clothes made her look fat and my daughter tells her:

" Mom, it's OK that you're fat, God made you that way"

I just about choked on my coffee laughing and my wife was shocked. She responded

"honey, do you think Mommy's fat?" in a totally shocked tone.

my daughter responded, "Yeah, you're fat all right. but it's OK"

I didn't stop smiling for two days.
