How was OL not an issue this year? They went a stretch of 3-4 games where they couldn't run the ball at all. How many times did they get stuffed on 3rd and 4th and 1's? It wasn't until the last few games of the year where the OL finally started to get some push and open a few small creases for Weber to plow through.

Just sayin', what OSU has coming back has far less experience and not sure the projected starters are any more talented than the 4 we just lost.

The run blocking wasn't great for a good portion of the year but it wasn't due to depth which is what I referenced. Possibly the best run blocking against a team with a pulse was in the Rose Bowl which was the first game after Knox was injured and replaced by Davis, which would be a positive for depth.

Looks like QB if the starter gets hurt or is ineffective.

Yep. I think Day needs to go out and find another QB now. I don't think a transfer makes sense, a good transfer isn't coming in to sit behind Fields and possibly Baldwin. Also relying on transfers to replace depth is risky, it could set up the QB room to have a collape of depth when you deal with limited years and constantly having to recruit multiple QBs a year.

Day needs to see if there is a good high school QB who might not have the highest ceiling but will be happy to be a backup. Probably a 3 star guy. Someone on the lines of Guiton or Cardale. Someone that should be with the team 4 or 5 years and can be counted on for spot duty. Maybe even compete to start in year 3 or 4 if they hit their ceiling.

I don't mean to sound so negative and throw shade at these young men, but what OSU football season were you watching? There was literally no movement or push up front for the majority of the season. Jordan's struggles getting the ball back are well documented on this site and contributed to some of the OL's issues. Leverage and hip bend was mediocre at best, and they went 4-5 games in the middle of the season where they were averaging 2 yards per carry. That is not acceptable at OSU. *ichigan game, parts of NW game and Rose Bowl were much better.

Now pass blocking....... that's a different story. With the exception of a couple game relapse from Prince, the pass pro was pretty solid most of the year.
