Welcome to the Big Ten, Nebraska fans!

2nd of all, I really like the new logo for the conference. If that is a BP original, get that shit copyrighted. As has probably been overkill by now (I haven't read the thread), the Big 12 with 10 and the Big 10 with.. yada yada...

but 1st of all, WELCOME NEBRASKA!!!!!! I censored love the addition. I have wanted Ntre Ame since I was 12, but as I grew I learned to not get along very well with snobby pricks. I don't think our conference, whatever the name may be (Stick with Big 10... the worst idea would be the Big 12) could have made a better choice than the Cornhuskers.

Whatever happens, I'm sure I missed a few posts by some pissed off fellers, but I like the fact we stole a heavyweight powerhouse program while the PAC-27 is stealing lesser programs, no offense to Utah.

Maybe the first time the Huskers and Buckeyes meet on the field, we need to consider a wife-swap, just for the duration of the game.

I've already called my grandfather-in-law that lives in Grand Island and told him that he better contact me before he thinks about giving up his tickets before the Buckeyes come to Memorial Stadium. Thus, I'll be there. I don't know if my wife will be though. :tongue2:

I'm thinking your wife will definitely want to be there - after all, beating the Buckeyes in their first Memorial Stadium visit will be pretty historic, don't you think? :tongue2:

I don't have anyone in the family with season tickets, but do have ticket access via the Alumni Club. I'm thinking a good goal for us is to be in Memorial Stadium and The Shoe both, for the first Husker-Buckeye game in each venue.

Hmmmmmm...

You know, I never thought about it before; but the 28-20 victory in '55 and the 34-7 win in '56 were both in the 'Shoe. Thanks for pointing that out.

Indeed. Mythical, but historic nonetheless.

Funny enough, I have better access to a game at Memorial Stadium than I ever will at the 'Shoe.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Buckeyes fans! I know that most of you really know college football, as opposed to, say, Missouri or Colorado fans, for examples. It's really nice to be going to the Big 10 now with all of your excellent traditions in both athletics and academics. I've been to Columbus, OH and found it to be a friendly town.

Huskerboard.com is probably one of the best non-pay websites. Rivals has a lot of insider info, but it is pay and it won't take long for it to get picked up by Huskerboard.

BIGHUSKERFAN.COM is definitely my favorite Cornhuskers site. They have many knowledgeable sports fans there who remain civil. And besides sports forums, it has a forum for politics and one for culture, so those add some cool, diverse conversations.

bigredboard has some knowledgeable football fans, but the core group, for the most part, are clickish horse's asses and in keeping with their clickish, assholian nature, "registrations are closed" because they don't want any new members who might have opinions too dissenting from their own.

huskerboard has a lot of friendly people, but I don't know how all the teenagers got past Security!

huskerpedia is definitely the worst and you should not even consider going there.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Go Big Red!

Nebraska and Ohio State should join forces against the douchebaggery that is Michigan. Notre Dame can jump in on Michigan's side later.
After the way LLoyd Crap (oops-Carr) cried about the split championship in 97, gotta agree with ya on SCUM. However I have relatives in PA so will probably root for them a little too.:paranoid:
