What are you currently watching on TV?

Revising my position on Sharp Objects. I almost gave up after five episodes (tedium, repetition, endless spiral toward boredom oblivion) and then one of my business partners said that the last two episodes were great. I'm now questioning his business judgment. Waste of seven hours of my life.

I enjoyed a couple of Marc Maron's standup specials on Netflix, so I started watching his show "Maron". It has a Curb Your Enthusiasm feel, except his "character" is younger and less successful than Larry David's. Lots of interesting comedian guest stars, pretty good show.

Second season of The Deuce is starting on HBO tonight. First season kicked all kinds of ass from the opening stone cold Curtis Mayfield jam to the last scene of the closing episode. This has all the makings of a level of quality up there with The Wire and early Sopranos. Hop on the bandwagon while it's still young. Nice to see HBO getting a gritty, 70s era New York piece right the second time around after the self-fellating colossal cluster fuck that was called Vinyl.

Yeah, I tried to watch Vinyl and made it through maybe an episode and a half.

Same here. It may not be on the level of the Better Call Saul, but other than BCS, this is the only show I've looked forward to watching lately. Jeez, do I love me some Ruth Langmore.....

Agreed. Will inevitably get compared to Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul. Very different show and not on the same level, but very enjoyable in its own right. I thought Season 2 was pretty great.
