I think Patrick Stewart didn't want it to feel like a TNG reboot so they've gone out of their way to stay away from that. There is some fan service and easter eggs spliced in. TNG is my favorite show of all time and the line that all series finales are judged against so I'm possibly watching it with rose colored glasses. I do think the first 5 episodes were a little slow so maybe your impression will improve by the end. The biggest loser in this is the current state of the Federation, but you get that from the first episode.

Discovery took some time to find its groove. It's less Trek than anything else especially in season 1. If you are going to start I'd at least get a few episodes into season 2 before you think of pulling the plug. I think Picard would have been better if it ended as 1 season. The Short Treks after season 2 were pretty good. Some of the other Star Trek universe shows they have in the works might be good. The crossover i've heard mention of not so much.

Drive To Survive (Formula 1) on Netflix. Not as good or compelling as last year's season.
The Plot Against America on HBO. Great!
Ragnarok on Netflix. A little slow at first, but it's picking up speed. I like it.
Picard: I'm only two in, so I haven't really formed an opinion.

Tiger King was something that didn't interest me in the least, but reading the above comments, I have to at least check out an episode or two.

I thought I was the only person on Earth watching Ragnarok. I watched three episodes and need to get back to it.
