What is your favorite TV show of all time

I just started watching Dexter, I got the first season from the library. After the first episode I'm not sure, he seems a bit self righteous, what are some of your thoughts on this show?

Great show for what it was, but quit after the Lithgow season. The last season/series finale is the worse of any show I've ever watched. Pretty sure everyone phoned it in.

Wouldn't judge the whole show by the pilot--those always seem a little undercooked in comparison to later episodes after actors get their bearings. If you like the show, be careful not to read spoilers or discussions of it. A neighbor had pretty much told me the whole story before I started watching, and it would have been interesting to actually be surprised by some of the later plot twists--there are some big ones.

I don't know about the exact order, but the top few would have to be...

The Honeymooners - definitely #1
All In The Family - definitely #2
Happy Days (the first 4 years)
Family Guy
Star Trek (original)
Law & Order (especially the ones w/Michael Moriarity)
Hill Street Blues
Johnny Quest
Barney Miller
Mod Squad (Peggy Lipton was HOT)
The Carol Burnett show
Andy Griffith

Forgot one - The Rifleman

"One of these days Alice—pow! Straight to the Moon!"

Dead Like Me, Alien Nation...I am the kiss of death to TV series.

Dead Like Me was a fun show. At least it got a second season.

I was the only person watching shows like Wonderfalls, Undeclared, Freaks & Geeks, and yes ... Firefly (I still vividly remember watching the first aired episode, seeing Mal kick a guy into the turbine & thinking..."Oh hell yeah, I'll be watching this!".)
