What Magazines Do You Subscribe To?

I like to read and was wondering what 'zine some of you folks subscribed to? For me:

Ohio (the Magazine)
Columbus Monthly
Outdoor Life
Field and Stream
Peterson's Hunting
Pheasants Forever (Through Association)
The Week
The Weekly Standard
Kiplingers
Interior Design (For Wifey)

Are you talking ones I pay for, or ones that the industry shamelessly sends me and when it comes time for renewal won't listen to me when I say "Stop fucking sending me this worthless crap!"

The only one I am paying for right now is Handyman. It has some really cool projects in it for around the house.

I am not exaggerating when I say I probably get around 100 a month, most free.

The ones I read regularly are.
Chief Executive Officer
CIO
CFO
Sales and Marketing Management
Harvard Business Review

Outside
Ducks Unlimited
National Wild Turkey Foundation
American Hunter

Too many tech mags to list.
Most of my political mags, conservative and liberal, subscriptions have expired.

It nice to download the digital versions to read when I travel.

i started to get Ducks Unlimited after going to this one event thing they were hosting down the road from me. I never actually read it, but is it worth reading? I always just kinda threw them away when i got them.

In college I got SI, Rolling Stone and Playboy.

Books, I had to buy a 250GB drive to store all the books I have downloaded. Most are non fiction. I have 213 books on my laptop.

I like DU because it is a good mix of hunting, conservation and stories of long ago. I like to show my kids the pictures of the ducks and dogs discussing the various breeds and types.

My mailman delivers our mail to the door at least once a week because it will not fit in our oversized mailbox.

When the whole family goes on vacation my neighbor gets the mail for us and delivers it multiple garbage bags.

I don't watch much TV. I read and with this volume I have become very good at deciphering what is worth reading and what isn't. Grad school also taught me to read fast with comprehension. Oh yeah, I have books on speed reading also.

Yes it is for real.
Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Foundation, Pheasants Unlimited are non profits that take donations and buy land to preserve wetlands and other wildlife habitat. They send you a magazine for being a member. They have local chapters that are very active in fundraising and political lobbying. A quick check on most will show you the dollars donated are going toward the cause, not the officers pocket.

As Blood31 found out the DU banquet can be a good time. Food, drink, auctions and friendship all for a good cause.

I am also an area advisor to The Bayou State Bowhunters Association.
While I would not consider myself a hick, I do not run into many people in the high tech world that have my hobbies. That is just fine by me.

If you are not a criminal, a tax and spend democrat or a Michigan fan I am pretty tolerant of other interests. Especially ones that are willing to put their time and money where their mouth is.
