I just saw "City of God" this past weekend. It's incredible, it's in Portuguese, but it is still an amazing movie. Probably the best movie I've seen in the last 6 months. I believe it was nominated for the Best Foreign Picture Oscar a few years back...

I don't know how big a fan you are of indies, but I recently watched "The Station Agent" and thought it was really good. I believe it won the Sundance Indy film award last year. It is very funny in a quirky way. I also just rented "Session 9" and am planning to watch it tonight. It is directed by the same guy who has "The Machinist" about to release. Has anyone seen Session 9? Is it worth the time?

Loved that movie! Another recent movie that I enjoyed was Mystic River.
which one was that? was that where the guys daughter dies and he thinks a childhood friend does it? I watch so many movies I can't keep track of which is which.

Cold Mountain is a good one too. plus you get to see nicole kidman's perfect nipples in that one (sorry sushi, had to throw that in there) :wink2:

Yes, Mystic River is the one with Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, and Kevin Bacon (and directed by Clint Eastwood). Very good movie and a kick-ass cast.

I don't care if you talk about Nicole's nipples. I wish I looked like that!
