What running back(s) do we land in this class?

I really think we can land J-Stew
I suspect Wells goes to Tech
Gwaltney will stick with WV
And we'll do the right thing with Ringer

But I like our odds on Chane Moline...
and a backfield of J-Stew and Moline
with Pitman as a change of pace...
will be pure lightning in a bottle...

Stewart and Ringer. Stewart has been waiting for an OSU offer all along, and now that he has it, I don't see him waiting too long to verbal up. Despite Ringer's injury, how can we not offer this kid? Speed, power, shiftiness, and a desire to be a Buckeye...what else can we ask for?

I agree on the Ringer issue. I'm not that confident about Stewart though. I'm just not getting a good feeling about him committing.

My guess is Snoop Stewart and Javon Ringer, with Mo Wells heading to USC.

Ironically, I think Ringer's injury could help this become one of tOSU's greatest runningback classes ever. Neither Stewart nor Wells would likely be scared off if Javon committed early to tOSU, because they understand how serious an ACL tear can be to a running back. So we should land Javon and still be able to attract one of the other two.

Javon is a lock IMHO if he makes his grades. Stewart would commit next, again IMHO, right after he's seen the 'SBC Classic' and his parents meet with JT in person.

That leaves Wells. Mo might very well be scared off if tOSU lands a Stewart/Ringer combo, so my guess is he goes to glam-town to play for Petey and Norm, who will both be gone by the time he checks into the Freshman dorms. (I think Georgia Tech is just a sop to his HS coach. Wells knows he's too good to go there and would get next-to-no national attention if he did)

But if Mo's got enough confidence in his own abilities, he might come to Columbus as well, following his parents' wishes and the great OSU RB Heisman tradition. If that happens and we've got Stewart and Ringer and Wells, it's time to break out the Barry Switzer wishbone playbook ;-) so we can get all three of those guys on the field at the same time. Snoop at fullback, Ringer and Wells at tail. All Troy or JZ would have to do then is master the hand-off and the quick pitch.

And Woody could rest easy in his grave.

I am not trying to "imply" anything. The info given on both these athletes indicates that OSU has just as much of a chance as anyone to be a Buckeye and that both have shown some interest in OSU.
OSU has just as much of a chance as anyone. Why not stay the course and give an educated guess as to who you think will be in the Scarlet and Grey.
If anyone has any info good or bad please enlighten me.

I know your intentions are good, but placing our chances of landing either at 75% is flat out incorrect. Last time i checked, Gwaltney is still committed to WV, and Stewart has about 6 other schools on the list. Neither of us has any "inside" info per se, still, that doesn't mean we shouldn't guard against unrealistic optimism.
