EDIT**You're right the methane that somes out of us is mixed up with the odors of the food from the digestion process.

Yeas thump.. methane does come out of our ass... but its other stuff that comes out of our ass that makes it stink.. the methane is odorless... kind of like sulfur that makes water stink.

I think Alan is implying that there are scary aliens on titan...

Anyone else think this is a lot of light for something 1.4 billion km from the sun?
They were probably using a flash. :tongue2:

Actually, the Huygens probe did have a lamp on it for that reason. I'm not sure how much of the light in the picture is from the lamp, though. Even the raw image in black and white had plenty of light to make out details, so I don't think it's all photoshop work.

i was just imagining sitting in the nasa chair as the images come through and all of a sudden....this....

no point really....

those posts where somebody asks you to turn your speakers up to see this video.....and WAAAHHHH comes on....must have been in the back of my mind...

Like Methane.

(Or some other Hydrocarbon... Butane... Hexane...heptane... octane.. Propane... I apologize for not knowing theri specific properties off the top of my head)

Methan freezes at -184 C... which is 299ish F.
