People stop reading after the 62 and forget that Oregon gave up more points to USC than defensive juggernauts like Hawaii, Colorado, and Arizona. (Who are 122nd,124th,and 93rd in scoring defense.)
But here's an ESPiN article about how they are underrated.

We've seen this movie before and it always ends the same way.
The voters and the media fall in love with big offense and pay no attention to defense whatsoever.
What is different about this Oregon team than Oregon teams in the past? Nothing.
If for some reason this Oregon team gets to number 2 and plays Bama they will lose and probably lose pretty badly. Bama has the athletes to take away the spread of Oregon and the offense to keep Oregon off the field.

as much as I would hate to see it, Bama would do the same thing.
yes, a mediocre (at best) LSU offense had a good day against Bama.
but we have BIG o-linemen and a physical power run game.
Oregon has neither of those.

The $EC is lauded as having the best defense and now the best offense in the nation.
However, in the games we have seen this year, there hasn't been very much defense....especially in the aTm/Bama and now the UgA/LSU game.....
