When should I get my spot???

Depends where you want to be. I almost always tailgate at Fawcett, but I like to be down by the river. Provided it's dry enough, you can probably get a pretty good spot down there by nine am or so...you may have to simply ignore those parking nazi's, though, they always try to tell you what to do...right, Scooter? :wink2:

Nah, I really do ignore the parking nazi's. They always want me to park in an orderly row, along with everyone else, but I choose to just drive past them and go all the way to the river and park there.

Parking has been $10, I believe. Or did it go up to $20? Now I can't remember.

Sorry about all the questions but we were thinking of putting a tailgate together this year and this seems like a great place. How are they about drinking beer there? Last year a few times I got tickets and the parking pass from where I used to work and we parked right next to the stadium. We always took a cooler of beer and put it into a cup and never had a single problem even with plain clothes cops roaming around. Just don't wanna get jumped for open container when we are minding our own business and being civil. Thanks all!!

I've talked with cops while drinking beer out of a cup when parked down by the river behind Fawcett. As long as you aren't behaving like a fool, and it isn't obvious, they're cool.

This is so fucked up...What do the powers-that-be think? People can't act civil unless they pour their beer in a cup and pretend they aren't drinking beer? I just don't get what the deal is with this stuff...I mean, I understand what the goal is, but I don't understand the means to reach the goal...Does beer lose it's intoxicating properties once poured into a cup? Or does the metal of the beer cans have some ingredient that makes people light cars on fire? WTF...
