Semper Fi!
I don't have much time to play anymore and I don't want to spend a wad on games. sooooo, 19.99 works for me.

I'm thinking the hockey title might be cool since there is no hockey season and I'm kinda burnt on the EA sports NCAA 2005 title already.

Anyone own these? Are there any dynasty modes in any of these? I dig that part of games...

thanks in advance and yes I know... ESPN sux.

I think that the ESPN games have franchise modes. Personally, I've felt that their NBA game has been their best series. It's the only one that I've purchased over the past 3 years.

Having said that though, I did not buy it this year. Instead, I used a $15 email coupon from EA and bought NBA Live for $20, including shipping. Most of the EA games are currently priced around $29, so they are only about $10 more than the ESPN games. It might be worth it for you to shell out the extra 10 bucks and buy Madden 2005. It's a very similar game engine to NCAA (so the buttons are familiar) and you can draft your NCAA players. Being able to import the draft classes is one of my favorite features.

Espn's graphics imo are much better then Ea. I have to also say that its pretty shitty for Ea to release a game like ncaa 2005 football for xbox and it have a million bugs. I done the Wr direct and beat oklahoma by 28 with rice on heisman. That and the gameplay is slow as hell.

I have madden 05 and i'd take espn 2k5 all day long over it..Looks like im playing a cartoon more then a game on madden. The only espn game I dont have this year is hockey. I can assure you that at least imo that espn has ea beat. Only thing i have against espn's games are the playbooks are shitty.

I own all of them. NFL 2k5 is sweet, as is NHL. In fact I think EA better re-do their engine next year, or they're in deep shit. Madden doesnt hold a candle to ESPN. I just wish Sega would release their college FB game again, they stopped for some reason.

Well, I bought the espn nhl2k5 and it is pretty sweet. There are some "bugs" that piss me off but they are presentation stuff, not gameplay so much.

I want to see replays when I score or when the opponent scores. I rarely ever get those. Seems like a big bug as it is talked up on other sites dedicated to the game. Kind of takes the fun out of it as you are immediately taken to center ice to begin again.....damnit. At least let me savor my "deke" for a few seconds.......

BTW - I am NOT a hockey fan, don't have a favorite team, don't even watch the sport. But it is kind of fun playing this game. fwtiw.

I can tell I live in southern ohio because of things like this....If you want cabela's deer hunting volume 1 through 30 or rapala's fishing then there's no problem getting that. I haven't even seen nhl2k5 in a store yet.
