Oneshot
Goes For Three
It seems as though every position in football is in fact very bi-racial (black and white.) (Though I hope more Dat Nguyens show up, know what I'm sayin).
However, one position more than any other seems to be dominated by one race.
The Runningback.
Can someone explain this to me? The thing that got me started on this was Sam McGuffie. One of the most incredible highlight tapes I've ever seen, insane numbers against top competition in Texas, but what is he being looked at as?
DB. WR. Never a RB, he doesn't have the size??
Whoa. I'm pretty sure McGuffie is about the same size Pittman was when Pitt entered The Ohio State University. And I don't recall many "Change Pittman to DB" threads.
What gives?
Historically, there have been great white running backs. But barely any in the modern age of football. The only one I can think of who had really good success was Brian Leonard. And even he is tiptoeing the line of Fullback.
