Who else is going to be glued to ABC tonight? (Lost)

As usual, the Clarity household is best-informed. Thanks, Mrs. LongwoodBuck. I really liked Deadwood, there was a decent amount of action, and it's just plain funny. 24 rocks as well, but I had to tape Monday's two hour episode (saw Sunday's), so it's too early for me to say whether the new season will be any good. I'm kind of worried because everyone but Jack is gone...

Carnivale was good on Sunday. I kicked Season 1 up to the top of my Netflix list. I just had them send me Rounders yesterday to see if I should give Tilt a chance on Espin. I think I will. Michael Madson kicks ass.
I'm hoping for more out of Lost and Alias tonight. The previews for Lost look good.

Because someone asked about Carnivale: I started watching it about halfway through season 1. One of the other HBO's (we have 10 of them I think) had a Carnivale marathon on one Sunday. Somehow I flipped it over during the first one and ended up watching it for 6 hours. It does develop pretty slowly, but it leaves you wondering what will happen next week so I kept coming back for more. The episode from season 1 where the chubby stripper girl got killed left me with chills.

I think Carnivale was an aquired taste...I didn't like it at first but my friend kept getting me to watch it and it kind of grew on me. It was such a dark show that I guess you always jsut watned to see what weird-ass thing would happen next week...

Hey, thanks for ruining for me, jackass! :wink2:

Kidding, of course...I've never seen it, although I have heard many good things. I don't even know when it's on.
9 on Sunday. If you have the HBO's they will probably replay the first episode somewhere before next Sunday. It's something that the people who refuse to watch Slutty Housewives will probably like.

Just checked and Carnival is on again tonight at 9 on HBO

1. You got me hooked on Lost. My kinda show. I have only seen last weeks episode, but I read the episode summaries for the previous ones.

2. Carnivale is my favorite show. I didn't realize it already started back up - I'll have to hit the HBO on demand tonight. . .

Thanks guys

If you got hooked by last week tonight might blow you away. Last week was probably the softest one yet. Carnivale bombed in the ratings this week. I'm hoping it was because people didn't know it was starting up again.

last nights episode of Lost redeemed itself.... just when I was ready to string Locke up and let him get eaten by boars they turn it around on me (even though I saw it coming).... Hurly telling the Korean guy to pee on his foot one of the funniest things I've seen in a while

It was a good night for both shows. With a show like Lost you're going to have a stinker (like last week) every once and a while. At least the whole show doesn't suck like Castaway did. Last night kicked ass, but I thought Boone's secret was going to be that he was gay not that he was doinking his step-sister. That's probably because he played a fag in "The Rules of Attraction". The whole pee thing had me rolling.

Ok, I need a synopsis of the first half hour of Lost. I figured out that Locke drugged Boone (with what, though? The hobbit's stash? I thought he burned that?), but were Locke and Boone really digging up a hatch or whatever in the woods? And what was up with the sibling sex scandal? That's sick if they really are brother/sister. What else happened in the first half hour?

Locke put something on the wound on the back of Boone's head. I don't know if it was definitely drugs because if you remember Jack was having hallucinations about chasing his dead father around in one episode. I think the island might have more to do with it. Whatever it was Locke made it out of stuff on the island.
They were digging up a hatch, but they can't do anything to get it open. Saied (sp) seems to be hitting on Boone's step sister (no blood relation). Boone told him to leave her alone. You probably saw this part but Boone was in love with his step-sister. I'm guessing Locke put him through everything that he did to help him get over that.
Kate found out the Korean lady speaks English.

To anybody that has been following Carnivale this season, the last two episodes have been highly intense and awesome. I don't know about anyone else, but I am eagerly awaiting the season finale next week. Unfortunately, I don't see how the series can continue after this season because if the final showdown goes down like they have been building, where could you go from there for a season three?

I can't wait till Sunday either. It is saying that this is just the season finale not the series finale so I'm holding out hope for more. The creator originally said that he would need 4-5 seasons to tell the whole story, but the ratings might not have been good enough to carry it for that much longer. They could have pushed up the storyline to finish in 2 seasons.
I'm probably not going to have HBO by the time another season roles around so I will have to wait till it comes out on DVD to watch it. I see Sophie having a big part in the next season if there is one. I'm wondering if she is preggers already and doesn't know it. To go with the storyline Sophie should be good since her father is evil and Ben's child would be evil so who the hell knows what would be going on.
Ok back on track. Can't wait till Sunday!!!
