Who should get the game ball on defense?

What defensive player gets the game ball for the NC State game?

A.J. Hawk. Two interceptions!!!!!! Even though one was called incomplete. He was close to intercepting a few earlier in a year...now he's coming through. This guy is great. His speed was also key against some of those runs to the outside. Youboty also stepped up his game, we didn't miss Fox that much.

Before I address being called a dumb ass by you, especially considering the circumstance, I'll remind you to look at the question again. Until Nuge plays defense I can't see him ever being the defensive MVP of the game.

This is EXACTLY Tresselball. Just like Penn State game in 2002. Field position is key. We won special teams and field position. This is how Tressel wants the game to go. Why open up the offense when you don't need to? This team handled playing a tough road game really well! I love Tresselball. Unlike some people...I think it's REALLY exciting!!!

bucknutty....i see what you are saying.....but i consider special teams a part of the defense...maybe that explains our difference.....no offense meant...

in your view of defense it is clearly hawk that gets player of the game from me....his hit on davis ruined him for the rest of the game....

No worries. Obviously Nuge was the player of the game, I was talking specifically about the 11 guys that lined up against NC State's offense. There is a reason the little guy is a captain. Greatest Buckeye kicker I've ever seen.

I guess I'm the only one that thought D'Andrea should get it. He caused the first two int's, with his pressure, and overall, disrupted everything in NCSt.'s offense. Really nice game for D'Animal, before the Big Ten season starts.

Gotta give it to AJ, he was just everywhere on defense. Even my UT buddy that was watching the game with me was impressed. Especially, with the closing speed he showed when getting to Davis on that big hit.

Just remember this guy was only 3 stars coming out of HS :tongue2:

What about Bobby Carpenter? Big pick on Okie State's first drive set the tone for the rest of the game. He's my vote for "Other".

dp- Welcome to Buckeye Planet.

I agree, Bobby' impact on the Okie State game should have helped him be the Defensive MVP against NC State.

Evidently these other idiots don't see things as a clear space time continuum Cause and effect the way you and I do.

:wink2:
