[bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] - Paint The End Zones, He'll Be A Buckeye

[bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] - Very Good Chance

[bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] - Good Chance

[bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] - Slight Chance

[bucks]*[/bucks] - No Realistic Chance</fieldset>

Maurice Wells

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Maurice had a great official visit for the scUM game and the Bucks look to be in really good shape. Running back is a huge need in this class with only Pittman and Haw in the fold for next year. After his visit to Georgia Tech Wells said that the Buckeyes still lead. He will make his announcement in San Antonio. Just a matter of time for the good guys, IMO.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “MoW is down to a final two of tOSU and GTech. He had a great official visit for the scUM game where the coaches explained his future role in the tOSU system. He had an equally good visit to GTech this weekend. But it doesn’t appear to be enough. The opportunity to be the feature back at tOSU should be enough to make him a Buckeye. MoW will make a decision soon (if he hasn’t already) but won’t announce until the AA game. Expect him to be wearing the S&G next year.”

Jason Gwaltney

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "Gwaltney had a great official visit to USC and there were reports that he verbaled. After returning home it appears Gwaltney has changed his mind and the Bucks, Trojans and Mountaineers are all even. I don’t have a real good feeling about Gwaltney although the running back situation in Columbus should be extremely enticing. I don’t think we land the big man.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Jason has set all the Long Island, NY rushing records and is considered one of the top RBs in this year’s class. He has just recently de-committed from W. Virginia and called it a three team race between the aforementioned WVU, tOSU and USC. IMO, USC is in the lead and may be the dreaded “silent verbal”. But it is a long time until signing day so the tOSU coaches have a lot of time to convince him that C-bus is the place for him to continue his football career. . Time will tell but is looks unlikely that Jason will be pulling out a Buckeye hat at the AA game on Jan. 15th."

Rico McCoy

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "Early on in the process McCoy favored Miami and Ohio State. After Miami slid down the list his favorites were Ohio State and scUM. Now Rico is currently listing Ohio State and Tennessee as his favorites. The one constant has been the Buckeyes. After a nice visit to Tennessee Rico has stated both schools are about even. In the end I think he joins the Buckeyes.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] “ Rico had a great visit to tOSU and has developed a friendship with Robbie Schoenhoft, Doug Worthington etc.. Coach Fickell has done a great job selling Rico on the benefits of being a Buckeye. In addition, he recognizes that he will have an early opportunity for playing time. If it wasn’t for the MoC “stuff” he might already be a verbal. Rico now appears ready to make a decision. Look for a tOSU commitment over the Vols.”

Andre Mathis

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “The Buckeyes have been high on Mathis' list for a while but after a visit to Knoxville The Vols currently leads. Andre has mentioned wanting to play with Rico McCoy so what Rico does may sway him. I think Mathis ends up at Tennessee.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “His favorites include tOSU, MSU and Tenn. He has now visited all three with Tenn appearing to be the favorite. He claims to feel comfortable with both the Vols and Buckeyes. He has built a friendship with Rico McCoy and would like to play with him at the next level. IMO, he would like that to be at Tenn. and will make a decision on Dec. 15th. My guess is that he will try to sway Rico to join him in Knoxville but with or without Rico he will be a Vol.”

Alex Daniels

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “It’s difficult to even guess where Daniels is going to end up. His Mom wants him to leave the state and he just had a nice visit to Minnesota where he could join Columbus kids like Ernie Wheelright and Gary Russell. Not sure if Daniels ends up in Minnesota or Oklahoma but I don’t think he’ll be a Buckeye.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Alex has been one of the tougher recruits to read in this class. He must have some affection for the Buckeyes considering he has went to just about every home game. But at the same time he continues to talk like he is looking for a reason to leave. His mom wants him to leave C-bus and that could be the driving force. The answer for Alex could lie at OU, LSU, Miami or maybe even Minnesota. There are a lot of city kids in Minny and that is the only place where he might be able to play with some of his Brookhaven teammates (Dominic Jones and Keith Massey). When all else fails go with MOM. I think Alex goes elsewhere.”

Javon Ringer

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “It appears Javon is becoming less and less patient with the Buckeyes and has mentioned numerous times that Sparty leads for his services. While I’d like to see him accept a gray shirt offer which would allow him to rehab his knee and work on his academics you can’t blame him if he decides to go elsewhere. Right now it looks like East Lansing is in his future although I’d love to see him in Columbus.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "I am lowering Javon to a slight chance at being a Buckeye. Javon appears to be getting more impatient waiting for his Buckeye offer and does not appear interested in a gray shirt opportunity. Javon was on his way to being a Buckeye until he was injured midway through his senior season. In addition, the Buckeye coaching staff continues to be cautious about Javon’s grade situation. The tOSU coaches have told RB recruits that they would take one small and one big back. If this is indeed true then I think MoW will be that small back and Javon may be headed to Sparty land.”

Elijah Hodge

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "Hodge visited for the scUM game and got to see the Horseshoe at it’s finest. He had a great visit to Iowa last weekend and it appears he will likely announce he will be a Hawkeye. If the atmosphere at the Shoe for The Game didn’t sway him to want to be a Buckeye I’m not sure anything could.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “A smaller, quicker WILL backer prospect. He comes from the same school (Ft. Lauderdale Dillard) as Chris Gamble and Thomas Matthews. His brother (Abdul Hodge) is a LB at Iowa and has announced that he will come back for his senior year. Elijah has announced that it is down to Iowa and tOSU (since Miami doesn’t appear like they will offer). He took an official to tOSU for the scUM game and visited Iowa this past weekend. Even though Elijah appears independent of his brother, it seems like Iowa will be the choice.”

Walker Ashley

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “I’ve upgraded Ashley up to 3 Buckeye Leaves. I still wouldn’t count out the Gophers, Trojans or his father’s alma mater, Penn State but it looks like he may cancel his Oklahoma visit because he is getting tired of the recruiting process. Ashley has been saying all the right things about the Buckeyes and we look to be in pretty good shape but until the LOI has been received I’ll remain uneasy about landing him.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks]“Well things have changed a little since our last update. He took his official to tOSU and had a great visit. He bonded with Doug Worthington, Andre Mathis and Rico McCoy. He seems to be rethinking his “commitment” (silent or otherwise) to USC. This could come down to his parents wanting him to play closer to home. So the Big Ten teams Minny, tOSU and PSU could be where he ends up. It is really hard to predict but I am still leaning toward him not coming to C-bus.”

Anthony Felder

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "Felder is still scheduled to visit Columbus but Washington’s hiring of Ty Willingham drastically reduced our chances of landing Felder, IMO. He had a nice visit to LSU but wasn’t blown away. It will come down to Ohio State, LSU and Washington and I think in the end he stays home and becomes a Husky.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “ND now appears to be out of the running and it seems to be coming down to LSU (already visited and rated 8 of 10) and tOSU (visiting 1/7). But I have a feeling that U. Washington will get back into the picture in a big way now that Ty is the new head coach. Tony and his parents have a great deal of respect for Ty and they are the home team. I think he goes there.”

Anderson Russell

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] "Russell committed to Ohio State during his visit, as expected.”

86 -[bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] - “Anderson committed yesterday and will be a Buckeye. Congrats to Anderson!"

Jonathan Stewart

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Only because Snoop hasn’t officially eliminated us do I give him two leaves. In the end I think he stays out west with Washington becoming a player after the hiring of Ty Willingham.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks] “Jonathan had an incredible senior year where he set all the Washington State rushing records. He has not fully qualified and is awaiting his most recent SAT scores. Given the distance, lack of grade certainty and no scheduled visit, I would have to say tOSU’s chances remain low with Snoop. I also think Ty could be a factor.”

Chris Rowell

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] "If Rowell gets a qualifying test score he’ll end up a Buckeye. If not he’ll probably end up at West Virginia.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] - “Chris looks like he could play CB or Safety. The Buckeyes made a late contingent (on grades) offer. Chris has been a lifelong Buckeye fan and he visited for the scUM game. If he is fully qualified I would look for an eventual commitment from Chris otherwise he will go to WVU.”

Freddie Lenix

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Lenix has the Ohio State offer he was looking for and will commit to the Buckeyes during his January visit with Jamario.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] –“Now that Freddie has been offered it would seem to be just a matter of time before he accepts and becomes a Buckeye. But I am not ready to paint the end zones just yet, he still must fully qualify. If this happens then Freddie will continue the Buckeye/Tarblooder tradition. He will officially visit in January with Jamario.”

Curtis Smith

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “A lot will have to happen for Smith to get an offer. If offered he will be a Buckeye.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “If we offer he should become a Buckeye but that is not a given. He may end up being a late offer similar to his ex-teammate Curtis Terry. The offer probably only happens if a lot of other scenario’s fall through.”

Eric Sledge

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “After hearing of Sledge’s reaction to snow during his West Virginia visit I’m not sure how good the Buckeyes chances are with him. He’s real athletic and has good size. Not sure where he’ll end up but I don’t feel good about it being Columbus.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Sledge is still listing tOSU as a favorite. If he makes it up for a visit and his grades are in order he may be a late commit. I tend to think he will go elsewhere.”

James Laurinaitis

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Laurinaitis had a great visit and verbaled only to say he’d wait until after this weekends Minnesota visit to decide. I think it will be a courtesy visit to his home state school. I think James ends up a Buckeye.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] - “James had an outstanding visit to tOSU and committed to the Buckeyes. He does not want to make it official until he visits Minny this weekend. But look for a final commitment very soon after that visit.”

Hivera Green

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Green is a big time player who has the endorsement of our Buckeye Planet’s osugrad21 who has seen him play down in SC. Green has mentioned wanting to play in the Big Ten and almost ended up at scUM. I still think he ends up staying in the south but a visit gives us a chance. He has plans on visiting the Buckeyes some time in January.”

86 – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks]“He claims to want to play in the Big Ten. tOSU is close to offering and could become a factor along with his current favorites (Va Tech and Clemson). Steve Spurrier and Bobby Stoops (already has a commitment from his teammate Eric Huggins) may also pursue Hivera. It is a long shot but if he wants to play in the Big Ten, tOSU appears to be his only current option.”

James Davis

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “I haven’t seen Davis come out and eliminate the Buckeyes yet but I doubt he visits, let alone chooses the Buckeyes.”

86 – [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “James will visit in January. He is from the same school as Harlan Jacobs. tOSU got in on him late but he appears interested. He is another big back option. A big long shot but if he does visit anything is possible.”

James McKinney

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Calling his scUM visit mediocre and saying how bored he was the whole time made McKinney one of my favorite recruits of the year no matter where he ends up. James is still listing scUM as his favorite. Hopefully Jamario can work a little magic with the big man. A January visit increases our chances.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “tOSU has slowly and quietly creeped back into contention. His favorites are L’ville and scUM and they are still the odds on favorite to receive his commitment. But James appears to be friends with Jamario and they may be visiting together in January. He has said that he will not make his decision before his tOSU visit.”

Lawrence Wilson

Nutty - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Lawrence now has the Buckeyes on top after Willingham was fired but he’s setting up visits with scUM and possibly Florida. Pitt is also out of the picture with Harris taking the Stanford job. Not sure why but I just don’t have the feeling Wilson ends up in Columbus and I’ll leave it at that although the Buckeyes make sense. It will be interesting to see if Notre Dame gets back in the picture.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] [bucks]*[/bucks] “Lawrence has opened up his recruitment again after the coaching change in S. Bend. He is looking at tOSU, scUM, Florida and possibly still ND. He had another good visit to C-bus last weekend. Lawrence is claiming that tOSU is on top but he will visit scUM this month, Florida in January and ND’s new coach will make a renewed push. But tOSU has been the one constant and Lawrence’s brother goes to Ohio State. On the surface it appears that tOSU is the odds on favorite but I still don’t believe Lawrence is convinced. I’ll say he will be a Buckeye in the end but will not be surprised if he decides to go elsewhere.”

Lamont Robinson

Nutty – [bucks]*[/bucks] “Robinson goes elsewhere.”

86 - [bucks]*[/bucks][bucks]*[/bucks] “Lamont came to C-bus for an official last weekend and has built a good relationship with Coach Fickell. He will take some other visits but in the end I think he stays with Virginia commitment. I think he is loyal to them for sticking with him through his injury recovery.”
