Well, I can infer two things from that statement:

1) You honestly believe the Bucks will drop 4 more games

or

2) You are starting a new alias

i dont miss bowelnuts one bit....i still look in once a week though just to see the train wreck....i admit that....but it has zero real value....

and i havent even bothered to read that place today.....i can only imagine....

The difference is all in the understanding of the game and in maturity. On BN, most of the posts come from people who are looking at the game from an emotional standpoint immediately following the game. I try to limit my posting the night of a game because my emotional attachment outweighs my logic. If I would've posted last night I would have been calling for Bollman AND Snyders job because of how much that loss hurt. A year ago, I would've made a comment on Bucknuts about it without thinking twice.

Since I've been on here, I've learned to really evaluate what I say and how I percieve the game because a.) If you don't know your crap on here...you'll get blasted. and b.) You all have educated me on some finer points of the game that I wouldn't have recognized before and it makes me appreciate the precision and hard work that is required...there are no quick fixes. I now better appreciate the huge difference between someone making an isolated mistake, or altogether sucking.

Take this as a compliment to the experienced posters here who have been responsible for the growth of myself and numerous other Buckeye Planeteers. I've seen a lot of brash, rude and obnoxious people get onto this site and watch them transform into great contributors. I'd like to think that the Bucknuts environment is condusive to ignorance because they feed off of each other...the Buckeye Planet environment is condusive to logic and controlled passion because we learn from one another. This is a great site because of the core posters. Keep it up guys!

Oiler - nice post. I think you have nailed the distinctions that make this a great site - and written it in a way that reflects those very distinctions.

On BN you have nothing but a bunch of poopy-heads.

That absolutely blows my mind to hear that you were banned over there Clarity. I realize that I have been "out of the net" for a while, but back when I was on BN...you were one of the most respected and courteous posters around. If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to get banned?

P.S.- I came to this site when I was able to access the internet again because of guys like you, mili, oh8ch, ny, ww, and dare I say...tibor (I may go to hell for that one, but I do enjoy his pot-stirring from time to time). Different atmosphere over there now for sure. Very little personality.

The closest thing I ever got to an answer was that I was bad for business. The truth is more that I peeked behind the curtain, and saw Oz for what he really was. I had to go.
