All the big Ohio State news, in one helpful place.

2 Buckeyes land on SB Nation's All-America team

Joey Bosa and Vonn Bell were named to SB Nation's 2015 All-America team. The pair were perhaps the most consistent players on the Ohio State defense all season, and will be making an impact on Sundays sooner rather than later. Bosa had five sacks, and 16 tackles for loss this season, with numbers down from last season. But it's tough to expect the same production when you're being double and triple teamed. Bell had two picks for the Buckeyes this season, and was always near the ball if it was in the air.

Other Buckeyes that received votes were offensive lineman Taylor Decker, and linebackers Raekwon McMillan and Darron Lee. Ezekiel Elliott finished in the top five for running backs, with the top two getting spots on the team. With so much talent around, it was tough to spotlight just a select few, which speaks volumes as to how well Joey Bosa and Vonn Bell were this season.

"Ohio State could set a record for the most players ever drafted, tying or breaking its own record of 14 players in 2004."

- Kevin Trahan, SB Nation

We've talked about it for months, and it's coming up. Ohio State could make some history in the 2016 NFL Draft. The Buckeyes have 21 players that have declared for the draft, nine of them underclassmen. They could tie or break their own record for players drafted, which was set in 2004 at 14. Trahan points out that currently, 14 players are projected by CBS Sports to be drafted.

Among those 14 are Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Darron Lee, and Taylor Decker, who are projected to go in the first round. CBSS has Michael Thomas and Eli Apple projected into the first or second rounds. Adolphus Washington and Nick Vannett are also projected second or third rounders. Cardale Jones, Braxton Miller, Tyvis Powell, and Jalin Marshall are all projected in the 4-6 range, with a list of other potential Buckeye draft picks. It's safe to say that draft day will be a good day.

"At the time, Haskins was just a young kid attending a summer instructional camp at Ohio State. He was trying to prove to the Ohio State coaching staff that he was one of the top emerging quarterbacks in the country."

- Ari Wasserman, Northeast Ohio Media Group

Dwayne Haskins recently flipped from Maryland to Ohio State, but Wasserman goes into great detail as to how Haskins and Ohio State actually got to this point. Haskins always wanted to be a Buckeye, but that didn't seem possible after the Buckeyes got Tristen Wallace. But after Wallace flipped to Oregon, that opened the door back up for Haskins. It seemed like a no-brainer after that for the Buckeyes and for Haskins.

Wasserman points out perfectly how Haskins is just a better fit, and that he's a pure quarterback. Wallace transferred to Oregon to play wide receiver, after being recruited as an athlete by Ohio State. Haskins arrival brings that of fellow former Terrapin commit Keandre Jones, so things really did work out great for the Buckeyes, and all parties (aside from Maryland) got exactly what they needed, and the 2016 class is turning out pretty nice for the Buckeyes.

"Nick Vannett was team-oriented throughout his Ohio State career, and the tight end’s senior season, with just 19 catches but myriad blocks, was a testament to that."

- Tim May, The Columbus Dispatch

Nick Vannett didn't have a breakout season or put up huge numbers, but you could say that about a lot of the talented Buckeyes that were on the roster in 2015. But Vannett, much like the rest of his teammates didn't let it shake him, and now he's preparing to fulfill his dreams of playing in the NFL. "I didn't have a touchdown this past season, which was disappointing," Vannett told May. "But I improved my blocking and I think I became an overall better player. I'm proud of that."

Vannett has been in Irvine, California since Ohio State's impressive Fiesta Bowl victory over Notre Dame in Glendale. He's working towards the Senior Bowl next week, as well as the NFL Scouting Combine in February. As Tim May points out, NFLDraftScout.com has Vannett ranked third among tight ends in the draft class, as well as the 89th best prospect overall. He hopes to join Jeff Heuerman as another good Buckeye tight end in the NFL.
