ok, i got it............i felt like i had to say something, and figured it was as good a place as any..........honestly i didn't even consider that it could potentially hi-jack and wreck the thread and steer it off it's course..........remember, i'm still getting used to the structure over here, but i get it

the satisfaction of knowing you won the battle should be enough IMO.
you're just too nice, i can't live up to those standards :sneaky: <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

Mistri, your post could have damaged the recruiting efforts on quite a few athletes. Not every parent that reads these posts is familiar with your particular brand of sarcasm and subsequently may believe what he/she comes across. You should take that into consideration when being a funny guy. At least post responsibly. If you need to spew this kind of bullshit, do it in the right place so as not to cause any misunderstandings. Jackass.

hey Weiser, how do you really feel? lol..............ummmm, i guess my apology wasn't enough for you?

relax dude, that's what the moderators are for, and even if a parent were to happen to come across my off-beat brand of sarcasm, you really think they're going to let one off-hand comment from some internet "jack-ass" have that much of an effect? puhlease...........i'm sure they'll completely throw out the relationship with the coaching staff, the education opportunity, etc., etc. based on one harmless comment

FWIW....I advise all of the kids I speak with to avoid recruiting boards all together. I tell them if they feel a need to gather information from the boards, one member of the family should be assigned to do that and filter the information back. Someone with a level head.

Sage advice Alan.

Mistri, it seems to me that YOU'VE let several comments get under YOUR skin while on the boards. Do you think it is different for anyone else? Even a recruit? What seems innocent to you, or many of the members who understand your sarcasm, or those who are familiar with the background which might make a comment sarcastic or funny, COULD be misinterpreted by a recruit or his family/friends. I think it's safe to say that no one on this board wants to have a negative impact on Ohio State's recruiting efforts.

Look I think this issue is dead, but just to be clear: We ALL need to be on our best behavior when posting in the recruiting forum. Not just Mistri ... everyone. All kinds of stuff goes on at other web sites, but we WANT to be different. We ARE different. We (I am referring to the moderators who toil on the Recruiting Forum ... not me) work hard to make the Recruiting Forums what they SHOULD be. A place that respects young athletes who are making difficult decisions. Be that Ohio State or some place else. Sure there will be disappointment and frustration, but that shouldn't be placed on the shoulders of a high school student who's trying to make the best choice for himself and his family.
