Will MSU/UM game help us?

I'm just wondering if we might get a boost. MSU must be extremely demoralized as they had the game in hand and lost it. And they were in the hunt for the title. Plus they played triple overtime. We need all the help we can get.

Maybe - maybe not. It was no doubt a demoralizing loss...talk about total meltdown!!! I know one thing for sure - the Buckeye defense will have their hands full trying to stop the run and keep up with a mobile QB. It's time for the offense to figure out a way to get the ball to Ginn and Santonio so they can make things happen - if not then I'm afraid we're in for a long day. It's getting to be crunch time and every game in now a must win...

We can only control our execution - not their psyche.

MSU losing Stanton will ultimately be to our advantage more than MSU losing in spectacular fashion to their chief rival.

I agree 100%. I think a State win may have been more beneficial in the long run. The Big 10 has become extremely unpredictable and wild this year. We may still salvage a reasonable bowl game. We just need to control our own destiny from here on out. We have a tough schedule, but I really like the new attitude of this team. I think if we can pull off some great performances on the road, TSUN doesn't stand a chance. Hopefully these young players understand the importance of the 20th.

Losses like today's are very hard to bounce back from. It would be different if they lost in OT after playing a back and forth game, but MSU outplayed Michigan for 53 minutes while building a 17-point lead with under 7 minutes left in the game only to lose.

We need to pit Roy Hall against Jaren Hayes (#31)...he's the kid against whom Michigan threw those four TD passes in the 4th qtr and in the OTs. He does not know how to defend a tall receiver.

I've wanted to see Roy Hall in a jump ball situation when we get inside the red zone - if there is any game to break that play out, this is it.
