With all that talent? Dude could win even a 16 team playoff in less than 2 games.

I forgot about Jimbo, you're correct. Didn't realize Bert held that title. I can understand it from a stability standpoint regarding recruits. If you're a "top tier" school in a power 5 conference, I would think it would be something you want to be cautious with. You never know who may come available when you need them most (i.e. Urban Meyer/Ohio State). I realize those opportunities are very uncommon, but still.

I also think history says that the coach-in-waiting typically doesn't wait. Muschamp didn't. Bert didn't stay at Wisky.

I get it, but feel its unnecessary in most cases. Keep your options open.

Seems like a ready-made replacement for Mark Snyder at Aggy.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but the thought crossed my mind.

If Fickell decides he's up for a HC gig elsewhere and Muschamp is still on the market. Does he fit in Columbus?

    Pure hypothetical.

ignoring the things he's said about Urban after taking over the Florida program.......still no chance in hell.

I'd love having muschamp as DC. Probably no chance it happens but with his recruiting ability and defensive coaching i wouldn't mind having him around a couple years. Florida's D is pretty darn good just had no offense. And as UFM likes, hell of a recruiter. Seems he is best as a DC rather than a HC

I feel like Muschamp is going to find a cozy DC job, much like Kiffin ended up OC at Bama and light the world on fire.

I just really hope that's not somewhere "close".

Will Muschamp: 'I'd still be at Florida if I hired Kurt Roper earlier'

Starting to mix up Bielema and Muschamp quotes. They're both very impressed with themselves.

Another way to put it would be, "I feel like, if I'd not hired Charlie Weis in my first year at Florida, I'd probably still be there."
