That has got to be a concern. We were not great at returns last season, but we were solid with the kicking game (field goals, and punts).

This will be a long season if we do not see rapid improvement in these areas.

Punting really seems to be the only concern. I think the protection will be worked out in the next 5 months. Remember, a lot of guys were hurt yesterday, and probably a lot of them fit into the punting/field goal blocking schemes.

We all know that field goals won't be a problem, Nugent is an excellent kicker.

Punt/Kick Off returning is up in the air. We won't really know till the season starts. It all depends on who is returning. Bam is quick, but he kinda scares me how he runs straight at people because of how small he is! Maybe Ginn will come in and spice up the returning duties.

Don't forget the spring game was split squad. It' hard enough for the first team to block effectively on punts when the receiving teams sends everyone, just ask Michigan.

On the flip side, how good were our defensive special teams? You gotta love Mangold blocking a field goal. If you watched him, he got excellent penetration on every FG attempt.
