A few:
Ravenswood Vintner's Blend Zinfandel
Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon
Columbia Crest Merlot
Coppola Rosso
Clos Du Bois Chardonnay
Fat Bastard Chardonnay (I had to try it, just for the name....)
Trumpeter Merlot, Cabernet Franc
I'm a fan of the Clos du Bois Chardonnay and the Fat Bastard Chardonnay. My favorite Cabernet, however, (at least in this price range) is the Robert Mondavi. Just the regular Mondavi though, not the coastal. I agree that the Los Vascos Cabernet is good, but I like Mondavi better. Overall, I believe I have tried and was happy with every wine on this list.

FKA- I absolutely agree with the Mondavi choice. We often buy them in the large bottles (again, it's all about saving money.) Mondavi does a nice job with their wines, especially with their reds.

DEBuck- Thanks for the update, I might have to pick up a bottle soon.

ekeen- you didn't like the Los Vascos? I think that, for the price, this is a great Cabernet.
Sorry DEBuck, I never had that one. I meant, not this- I haven't tried it.

I rarely say any wine is bad unless it tastes like an oak tree or like a piece of butter.

I am going to try it since you recommended it. I will let you know how it goes in a later post......

Hey ekeen,

Did you ever make your own wine?

I bottled some elderberry wine a few months ago. It was pretty good, but I look forward to trying it again in another six months. I just started fermenting a gallon of blueberry wine tonight.
