Game Thread Wisconsin 13, tOSU 31 (Oct 10, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN)

Well your right about the fact that we don't know what he's being taught, because it sure isn't showing up on the field. I don't know the new coach and in that case, I'm not going to blame the kid.

Actually when given time and on fast developing plays he usually looks great to me. It is the zeroing in on one receiver that makes me crazy. Example... I couldn't get the Toledo game on TV so I was reading the game on ESPN's play by play website. I saw that his first 7 completed passes went to 7 different players with a couple of TDs, great thought I. Then, that was followed by about 6 or 7 straight incomplete passes ALL of them thrown to DP and I thought oh crap here we go again. Jeeeez, just call some plays that force him to throw to someone else when he does that. Some screens or hell pull the receiver his currently in love with for a few plays, just to snap him out of it. And yes I know that isn't the QB coaches call, but it is his responsibility to know when his guy has gone brain dead and to suggest something to the play caller to help him out of it.

Are you a coach?

Wow, I don't know if ESPN's play by play is that bad or if you're making things up because you don't really remember what happened. Either way, that's not even close to what happened in the game.

Terrelle's first 7 completions were to 4 receivers, not 7 (Sanzenbacher-3, Posey-2, Carter-1, Saine-1). I'm not sure how you miss the 2 TD's to Sanzenbacher (1st and 4th completion).

Considering Terrelle threw no more than 2 consectutive incompletions against Toledo (that only happened twice), I have to suspect you are making up the 6 to 7 straight incomplete passes. I doubt even ESPN is going to screw up the play by play on 4 consecutive drives. His next seven passes were: Ballard-incomplete, Carter-complete, Posey-incomplete, Sanzenbacher-complete, Carter-incomplete, Posey-incomplete, Ballard-complete.

Complaining about Terrelle zeroing in on one receiver in the Toledo game is ludricous. He threw consecutive passes to the same receiver just once in 28 attempts. Yes, it was to Posey, but one of them was a completion. The official play by play of all our games can be found at the NCAA's website:

Is it truly that difficult to do a little fact checking before disparaging the coaches?

Furthermore, you can look around; Reisling, Tebow, McCoy, Bradford, Daniel, etc..... they were all further along as sophomores with less talent at this point in their college career
Terrelle is a better athlete. He is absolutely not more talented as a passer than those guys. Go check how that Texas staff did with the athletic but dreadful passer named Vince Young.

Classic. Rebuttal unnecessary.

Give it about a week or two and everyone will forget this even happened.

That means people don't like what I'm saying which is fine with me, I'm used to it.

Well when you say stupid shit referencing the Pass interference penalty in the Fiesta Bowl, people aren't going to take kindly to that bullshit.

Rep points don't mean anything to me, the way I see it they only encourage people to say what they think others want to hear. If you all want to high five each other over an ugly win that's fine with me but be aware that everyone outside of C-Bus has put Iowa ahead of us in the Big Ten power rankings. I know it don't mean crap until the game is played but it means everyone else is seeing what I'm seeing.

Do you realize that was the easiest win for Ohio State over Wisconsin in a long time?

Do you realize that over the course of a 12 game season you are going to have to win a game or two ugly, but so long as you WIN, it's ok??

And who really GIVES A FUCK about "everyone outside of C-bus"?? Those jackasses would have Ohio State completely give up football if it were up to most of them. Fuck them and the horse they goddamn rode in on.

So.... you didn't actually see the Toledo game, and thus you have no way of knowing how well Posey or any other WR was covered, and you think you have enough knowledge to comment?

:slappy:

Pair that with the fact that you just got pwnd about the actual plays by buck1973 ....

Might be time to keep your opinions to yourself, there, sparky.

Is 'everybody' supposed to include Coaches, AP, and Harris voters?

Or is 'everybody' Mark May and a couple of guys on the BTN?

And cincinatti is ahead of us in the polls. Does anybody think Cincinatti would beat us?

Iowa did not look good against Michigan, or anybody but State Penn. Of course I also dont think they looked good against State Penn, but moreso that State Penn looked horrible against Iowa. They arent even in the same league in my book. And this is coming from someone who is still very sceptical on our offense.

Iowa was well on their way to losing that game until the blocked punt.

and you can count me in with the people who have been clamoring for something to change with regards to the offense. HOWEVER, this is not the game to bitch about. yes, the O looked pretty inept throughout most of the first half. then they got it on track and marched right down the field and scored. they didn't see the ball again FOR LITERALLY AN HOUR. when they finally did get the ball again, they went down the field and scored again. after that the game was over.
