The Ohio State Women’s Track and Field Team finished up the season at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championship out west – in Eugene, Oregon.

First up for the Buckeyes was senior SoSo Walker who earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 400-meter dash with an 18th-place time of 53.44.

Next up, senior Alexis Franklin raced to a time of 57.07 in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing 12th overall for the Second Team All-American.

Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 200-meter dash went to redshirt senior Aisha Cavin, who finished 18th overall in a time of 23.64.

In the field category, senior Alyssa Gary earned Honorable Mention All-American – her first All-American award at Ohio State – with a 23rd-place finish at 15.24 meters (50-0).

The 4×400-meter relay – freshman Karrington Winters, Cavin, Walker and Franklin – closed the day with a 16th-place finish overall in a time of 3:35.38, good for Second Team All-American honors.

Cavin, Franklin and Walker each earned a pair of All-American awards Thursday, bringing their career totals at OSU to nine, five and five, respectively. Winters earned her first All-American honor as a Buckeye.

The Women’s Team this year produced some exciting moments. It all played quite well to the end too. We at Buckeye Nation are proud.

    Great Year Ladies.
