WR Anthony Gonzalez (2005 All B1G, US Congressman)

Nope. You're correct, it is "Gonzalez." I love Gonzo, I think he's a great clutch receiver and I think he'll only get better next year and become more important to our offense with the likely depature of Holmes.

I definitley disagree with whoever said Gonzo won't become one of our great receivers down the road.

Hall is a role player, who could emerge next year. Gonzo is only a role player b/c we have two gamebreakers ahead of him. He catches everything thrown at him, has not fumbled, and apparently can beat teddy in the 40. I wouldn't cap his potential just yet.

He is a good role player who can make clutch plays if given a chance, and is a very good 3 receiver for us. but he will never be that go to guy like a holmes or jenkins or a boston.

Why the heck not? He's one of the fastest players on the team (even if he is bald and fat :wink2: ), he's got great hands and is obviously a hard worker: and he's got 2 years to improve!

Isn't Gonzo the second fastest guy on the team? With sure hands, speed and excellent route running abilities, the NFL would love a guy like him. Reminds me of a faster version of Ricky Proehl. I'm excited about next year because we have all the new guys plus Ginn and Gonzo. Not to mention Marcel Frost at TE. :)

I was going to bring up Frost as well. He will certainly be a player in the mix for catching passes next year. Will be interesting how we change up our TE looks from Hamby staying at bay blocking to sending Frost out to recieve.

Anyways, it wouldnt suprise me to see Gonzo maybe jump Ginn at Flanker to the #1 spot. Ginn didnt have the year we expected of him, but its okay since Gonzo and the rest of the team was there to help out. He has the hands, the speed, the smarts and the vision to become a breakout widereciever - kinda like a Jeff Samarzia (sp?) at the "BEST TEAM EVER" - ND, lol.

Same here. That Smardzjzilla guy is good but he has got a more suited system to show his skills. My only beef with Tresselball is that there aren't enough designed big pass plays to fully utilize our offensive weapons. For once, I'd like to see our offense come in and let it loose.
