Buckeye Target Struts His Stuff
The 6-foot-2 and 205-pound Mack led Bishop Luers to an 11-3 record this past season. He caught 69 passes for 1,062 yards. Mack had 15 receiving touchdowns and 22 touchdowns total.

Mack attended the Ohio State-Cincinnati game in Ohio Stadium. He had planned to also attend the Ohio State-Michigan game but because of family obligations did not make it.

“I plan to get back to Ohio State, maybe in February or in the spring,” Mack said.

Mack is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He is the country’s No. 111 prospect, the No. 23 wide receiver, and the No. 2 prospect in Indiana.

Mack’s Crystal Ball has 11 predictions and currently reads Ohio State 55%, Notre Dame 36% and Michigan 9%.

’16 IN WR Austin Mack Ready For Offseason
As for recruiting, Mack got to see Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State this fall. Mack also is developing quite the offer sheet that includes Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt amongst others.

“I’d probably say the most impressive was going to The Shoe and Columbus was probably the most exciting trip this fall,” said Mack recapping his fall. “The Big House was crazy though. I went to the Michigan-Penn State game and Michigan actually won and it was pretty exciting. It’s different everywhere you go.

“Notre Dame is more traditional with all the chants, fight songs and throwing people in the air every time they score. They are crazy at Notre Dame. Then Ohio State is super obnoxious in their stadium. As soon as they kick the ball, the student section yells ‘Kill them mother-whatevers’, and the atmosphere is crazy in Columbus. It’s all crazy when you visit, but those are the main ones that stood out this year. I just got to enjoy the process this fall.”

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder got a visit from Notre Dame assistant Mike Elston last week and things are still good between the two.

“Coach Elston told me nothing different than before,” stated Mack. “He was just telling me to keep in touch and asking how I was doing.”

Mack says everything is still on plan to announce his college decision in June with his good friend and top 2016 defensive end recruit Auston Robertson.

“My decision will be in June with Auston as long as he doesn’t go crazy,” a laughing Mack said. “But I’ll make sure it all happens in June.”

"We know he's been here a lot," one source close to the Buckeyes shared. "We know he wants to make some other visits, and that's fine. There's obviously some places we'd prefer he not visit, but he's got to take his time and see what's out there. He knows what Ohio State brings to the table, and he knows – trust me, he knows – that he's our guy. We think he's the single best wide receiver in the country and a guy that we absolutely think is as important as any other player we have committed or could sign."

I'm not sure I disagree...I think he is one of the best outside WRs I've seen on film this year. Sam Bruce is obviously one of the best as well but I see him as a future slot. Mack is a guy I want to see in S&G...along with Justin Layne.

Rivals $ - R250 WR to visit OSU

3/18

By Joseph....Hearing the most from OSU, Tennessee & Sparty. Has a great relationship with Coach Meyer, Coach Coombs & Coach Smith. Says he & Auston Robertson have backed off the idea of going to the same school, though it remains a possibility. Visiting Notre Dame this weekend, Ohio State on 4/11, Sparty on 4/18 & Tennessee on 5/2.
