WR Chris Olave (1st Team All B1G, 1st Team All-American, New Orleans Saints)

Drafting wide receivers is such a crap shoot. College secondaries are mostly crap, so numbers are inflated. Their combine stats don't correlate with on field production. They are almost completely dependant on teammates for their stats. They hit the rookie wall hard, and rarely break out before season 3, so you don't usually get that immediate injection of talent of other positions. They don't get as much first round love for those reasons.

Agreed. But, with the way these NFL offenses are going away from the run game and throwing the ball 50+ times a game, there is always a need for 3,4,5 play-makers on the field at once. So you can bet your bottom dollar that although they are a crapshoot on how their pro careers turn out, NFL franchises are still going to put a high priority on drafting explosive play-makers who can take a 5 yard slant to the house.

So it seems a combined over/under of 20 would be reasonable then. Maybe that's what he means.

Then I'd still go with the slight under. Not taking anything away from the 2, as their insanely talented. But like I said before, we're just so deep. And I think that Hartline is going to want to get a lot of the guys reps, especially in the middle portion of the season. I doubt if Olave and Wilson even play full games after Oregon(maybe the Pedsters they stay in until the 4th, same with scUM).

Ohio State football: Buckeyes star WR Chris Olave missed Big Ten Media Days due to COVID-19 vaccine dose

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day confirmed on Friday morning that Olave was missing out on Media Days because he was getting his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

As media days around the country have been taking place, the COVID-19 vaccine has been a hot topic and one that has been asked to nearly all, if not every single, coach in college football. Last season, teams were allowed to postpone games because of COVID-19 issues within their programs. But for the 2021 season, it’s going to be different. If teams cannot field a team because of COVID-19 issues, multiple conferences have already said forfeits will be needed. For the Buckeyes’ sake, it will be crucial to have a player like Olave vaccinated.

"Yeah, I mean, the majority of our team is vaccinated," Day said. "It's one of those things where I think you really have to take a look at the certain risks. There's certain risks with everything. I think there's risks with the virus, there's risks with the vaccine, there's risks with testing positive, there's risks with contact tracing, not being able to play. And we have left that up to the players and we try to do everything we can to educate them with our medical people, sports medicine. But I feel like we're in a pretty good place. I think the majority of our guys have been vaccinated and a few more are continuing to get vaccinated and I know it's something that's unique to each guy and we have kind of left it up to them."

3. CHRIS OLAVE, WR, OHIO STATE

Despite only playing in seven games last season in a COVID-19 shortened season, Olave put up great numbers, hauling in 50 receptions for 729 yards (14.6 yards per catch) with seven touchdowns. In three seasons and 27 games so far, Olave has totaled 110 receptions for 1,766 yards (16.1 yards per catch) with 22 touchdowns. Prior to Ohio State, Olave was a 247Sports Composite three-star recruit out of San Marcos, California. He was also the No. 68 ranked wideout in the recruiting class of 2018.
