Zach Smith (Official Thread)

"Zach was returning his 13-year-old son to his ex-wife, which had previously been agreed upon," Koffel said. "The exact location of the drop-off hadn't been discussed. They were texting each other as to where to meet. She told them to meet at their apartment complex clubhouse. He drove there. She wasn't there, and he dropped the son at her apartment. She was waiting for him with her cell phone out, and took a picture of him in her driveway. He left and she called the Powell police and said it was trespassing.

"She never presented the shared parenting plan to the police department. She never presented the shared parenting plan to the Delaware prosecutor's office. A criminal complaint was filed against Zach. He was never arrested. He went to Powell PD and picked up the criminal trespass complaint. At no point did he ever violate the shared parenting plan. And we entered a not guilty (plea) on June 5."

Looks like a "wait and see" situation with respect to this particular incident. Still, it's another drip, whether it proves to be very small or not, from what seems to be a persistently leaky faucet. Given that Smith's skills as a WR coach, based on the performance of his units, are open to legitimate debate and that his salary relative to other OSU assistants (and the lack of other programs pursuing him) suggest that he's not thought of especially highly in the profession, at least compared to most OSU assistants, were I an adviser to him, I'd suggest that we're past "put up OR shut up" time and into "put up AND shut up" time.

I don’t know the genesis of cdiddy’s disdain towards Smith but if it has anything to do w/ a rumored incident between Smith & his wife before the 2016 Fiesta Bowl then his disdain is warranted. If the things I’ve been told are true then this clown should have been shown the door along time ago regardless of who his grandfather is.

Regarding the alleged incident and "things", no doubt you can vouch for whoever told you, right?

That's one side of the story. Either his ex-wife hates him extremely badly or there is more to the story
